Yes, that's what happens in a sweep, and a Democratic sweep is what will happen in 2008!

Of course not--there are districts and states that will vote for a Republican no matter what. The Democrats will likely maintain control of the House and gain 2-4 seats in the Senate (the GOP has to defend more seats than the Democrats). You would think that the Democrats have an advantage in the race for the White House, but I'm not so sure. I think Americans will be able to separate the eventual Republican nominee from the Bush disaster.

You thought Gore avoided Clinton in '00? We'll see how many times Bush appears on the campaign trail in '08.

If you pay attention to history you will see that if there was going to be a democratic sweep it would have occurred in the last election. While the democrats managed to take control of both houses of congress, they barely did. One seat in the Senate? Many of the democratic senators who won only squeaked by by the thinnest margins? Many of the new democrats in the house ran as more conservative than the republicans they ran against.

No, it isn't likely that the democrats will even hold control of congress after the next election. Especially if all they intend to do is subpoena people. There own liberal base is getting fed up with their inaction. Whether or not the country feels safe with a liberal Commander-in-Chief has not been decided by a long shot, either.

Once the primaries are decided, we will have a better gage.
The democrats know there are not enough liberals in America to elect anyone. They have to appeal to the moderates if they are to have any chance at election. But by running toward the middle, they alienate their base.

This should be very interesting.

please Lord, NO.
it would be a mistake to elect any one BUT a republican in '08.

what failed bush plan? he has done exactly what he intended. allowed a one in a million terror attack to stir up more hate in America than fear. just what the terrorist wanted. with a continuing war in Iraq, the center of the oil producing countrys, Bush and the other oil stock holders are profiting Billions. no we don't want the Iraqi oil. why would we. if you start pumping millions of gallons to the US, oil stocks would plumet and gas would go down to $1.00 a gal.

since I now know that my actual vote does not count for nothing and since no law has every been passed by my vote ( oh that's right, most laws are passed by the wealthy, so-called Representatives.) that I will not bother to vote and am encouraging every one I know to show their disgust with the greedy system in place, and DO NOT VOTE.

let those bushbots put whoever they want in, they will anyway if they want to, but you know as well as I do, they need a Democrat in after Bush, because they can't fix their own screwup. Nixon was proof of that. Bush Sr. was proof of that.

Yes. The Republicans are lost. They follow Bush only but have no loyalty to the people of the United States.

Democrat will not sweep, because down south we still have common sense and love America. Therefore, we will be sending our Republicans back. Plus, you guys running these bozos for President makes it hard for you to win the White House.
