I guess I know the answer is to get their name out and pretend to connect with the people, but is anyone else disgusted? It is beyond ridiculus for Hillary Clinton or John McCain, or anyone running for President, to be asking Yahoo Answers how to solve the energy crisis, budget crisis or any crisis. They should be telling us their views and plans for when they're in office based on expert opinions and real data. I've seen the quality of answers on this site and I have to hope that they have better advisors than the anonymous Yahoos here. Does anyone else think this is absurd?

why people think bill clinton is such a bad guy, what happend with his family is his families problem not the nations... he did have an affair but obviously him and hillary worked it out. its annoying to hear people say he raped her and that he was a bad guy. he did some pretty great things as president and i think its time to let it go.
what do you guys think about all the Clinton bashing (Bill and Hilary) thats been going on?

They are always quick to dismiss anyone who doesn't agree with their overly politically correct opinions as a racist or bigot, even when the issue at hand has nothing to do with race. Liberals seem to confuse tolerance with not enforcing any laws or having no moral absolutes, hence their support for things like illegal immigration or legalizing drugs and other harmful behaviours. Enforcing a moral standard is not being intolerant. If we simply allowed people to do whatever they wanted, it would lead to a very chaotic society. Liberals must be trying to hide or compensate for something, otherwise they wouldn't be trying so hard to convince others how "tolerant" they are with race-based policies, while dismissing other people as racists. Maybe that's why everyone forgets that the democrats were the party of slavery and confederacy. And I'm not saying this because I support conservatives. I'm just against liberals.

just look at it.. when one side picks a stance on an issue the other party picks the other stance automatically... and tries to figure out reasons for that later.. that is for all parties. On top of that they seem to shoot for the extremes of the issue, rather than taking a look to see if there is a gray area... how is that ideology any different from that of a fanatic?

If a boy got into a fight at school with another boy and they were both at fault and suspended from school for 5 days and then the day following the fight one of the boys was in school while the other was still suspended for 5 days what would you do if it was your child who was still suspended while the other boy returned the next day?

I mean I understand the contribution the Army and the Marines give the war. I also respect the Navy for their tradition and contributions. I also understand that the Air Force is the youngest branch but they do contribute alot of effort and skill.

So far well over 3,000 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq alone and that doesn't include the ones killed in Afganastan or anywhere else since he started his war against Iraq. Does anyone out there care that he has killed more Americans thenhj any terrorist ever did?

I just want to hear your opinions. I have read in countless History Textbooks in school about how Pearl Harbor was a suprise attack: But I have also read countless books about how Pearl Harbor may not have been a surprise. The books told me that Japan had actually contacted the U.S. that they were planning an attack on the Harbor (since an army must, according to the "rules" of war) and the American Army had purposefully silenced this fact from their soldiers about the attack (in other words kept it a secret): To enrage them and pit their anger against the Japanese. Do you think this is true? Have you ever heard of anything like this?

Personally I enjoy lighting my flatulence to dissipate the methane that escapes into the earth’s atmosphere. I know it is a very small step but we need to take small steps before we take those giant steps.

Our Christian country is currently under assault by liberal extremists. Any abortion that occurs should be a hate crime, any marriage that is ruined by Homosexual "weddings" should be as well. However, hate crimes are only used for PC purposes. Why is this so?

In the end it seems most people think the word socialist is negative and few even understand it. It seems the most that do hate it with a passion. I gather that this is the view that the upper class favors as it keeps more money in their pocket, with no need to feel guilt for hoarding so much money in a world with people starving.
Here is my argument, how does capitalism help the poor? is it working? 95% of the wealth is in the hands of 5% of Americans... some say it is 80% in the top 10%.. Americans are one group of people..., some are smart enough to hire others to work for them. They make their profits on the backs of those people, do they deserve to keep every bit of it?Should they contribute to the good of the group?
The single core difference is, do we let selfishness of the wealthy control the market or do we let govt have control which usually turns into corruption,

hello, my freind and i were at the driving range and his rented driver broke. he was not horse playing or anything and they charged him $15 fr the club. they have a sign, but it is not in plain view, nor did they explain their policy upon rental. there are no cameras viewing the range, is he liable to replace the club? i told them that this was just a cost of running a business, but of course they didnt see it my way. i asked for them to mail me a copy of the invoice for them t send it to get it repaired, if they dont send it do we gett the money back?

All candidates/incumbants seem to hold similar positions as my own on some significant issues, but promote agendas contrary to my own positions on others. So my vote both advances some of my interests and hurts others by endorsing the opposing view. On many issues, representatives do not represent their constituents, and these seems very wrong to me on many levels. Does it also bother you?

Is there an easy way to ensure that representatives represent all of their constituents' interests or that our votes can be limited to advancing only our interests?

For instance, like allowing us to vote on each platform issue for each candidate, and then allowing each candidate to represent us only on the issues for which they received a majority of the votes.

Or by requiring the candidates to get approval from their constituents concerning their general majority position before they have power to represent them on each issue.
