Since Bush sold us out to China, just about everything you buy is made there. They don't need to attack us, they already own us.

The rise of China as an economic power in the world has naturally led to an expansion of their military. What is perhaps most distressing is that they build their naval power in a manner most efficient for their capacity for combat against a carrier battle group the US war fleet strategy. Although we are not on the verge of losing naval supremacy yet the development of a blue water navy by China exhibits a desire of China to exert military influence beyond the extent of their borders. Some feel the first opportunity China will have to surpass the US military will come in the form of a military base on the moon. It is perhaps at the moment the ultimate goal for military minds at the moment as it creates a nearly unassailable land base with numerous tactical advantages for the next century until military space craft become practical.

I'm sorry but I don't think any person has a right to decide which country is civilised and which isn't. By the way where have you got your idea from? What makes you think China is the warmonger and not countries such as the US and the UK, who have specifically gone to another country for a war? Where is the logic?

Ok, so what are you suggesting then? Americans stop buying everything period?
We now live in a global society. And while I may not agree with this countries lack of manufacturing, there is absolutely nothing that you or I can do about it.
My suggestion to you is that you suck it up and deal with it, or, run for office and try to fix the problems that we have.

China also owns 1/3 of the US deficit. So, in reality, when you buy Chinese goods you help fund the lack of fiscal restraint in Washington.
I am less concerned about China's military than I am about the armchair warriors currently in charge of ours...
