Unfortunately, there are too many people who see things in the extreme and to make matter worse, many of such people are candidates for political parties...and are often elected.
The way a person sees an issue often depends upon the chance encounters the person has experienced with the varied situations of life. Some people unconsciously and disproportionately enlarge their experiences and use that extreme image as the norm when that is the subject. Such persons often become fanatic in the defense of their position.
Middle-ground actually is where the majority of events take place and subjects are sized. Yet, it is too often very difficult keeping the discussion at middle-ground and the whisper soon becomes the scream.

I guess it just has to do with the times we are living in. The country has been very bitterly divided.
Lookit: In the past 10 years, we've had one president impeached, another "win" an election that was decided by the Supreme Court.
Add to that the venomous snake tongues on talk radio for the right and the pompous, self-righteous "documentary" filmmakers on the left.......
Not a very conducive atmosphere to searching for common ground on important issues.

That's not always the case; there are a lot of moderates in both major parties. Unfortunately, the extremists get most of the attention, and tend to be the most vocal, particularly on the right. It's particularly bad on the internet, where the relative anonymity tends to bring out the trolls.

It isn't different at all. It is a microcosm of our unhealthy two party system. With only two viable political parties, people have to choose a side and unfortunately end up being brainwashed into thinking that you have to believe certain things to be a part of that particular party.

Yeah, i assume it became in basic terms a Democratic occasion element to deliver hundreds of extra troops to the border, and to signify a invoice (that exceeded) for yet another $six hundred million for risk-free practices alongside the southwest border.

All political parties are run by fanatics, so there is no difference.

That is the problem with party politics today. It is about who they are running for and against. Not about why you are running. They don't care about the country they care about their party.

Makes it so much fun, doesn't it. I will needle the other side sometimes, even if I agree, just to have them drool in rage at me. HAHAHA
