Global warming is probably being used as a scare tactic by the liberals, but that doesn't mean it isn't happening. The figures tell us that the earth actually is warming up. It's just a question of what's causing it. It may very well be a part of a natural cycle that occurs over thousands of years - we don't honestly know because we haven't been keeping records long enough. We do know though things like drilled out ice cores in Greenland and Antarctica that at one time the earth was warmer than it is now and that we've gone through cycles of warming up and cooling down, so maybe this warming is just part of that. We arrogantly tend to think that we as humans are the cause of everything that happens on this planet and that we will be it's downfall. I don't mean to burst anyones bubble, but we and our human activities are actually puny when you compare them to mother nature and the cosmos at large. There is evidence to suggest that this global warming is actually caused by fluctuation in sunspot activity. The Martian polar icecaps have been observed to be melting and receding. No SUVs or factories on Mars last I heard LOL. The sunspot activity explanation makes the most sense to me since GW has been observed in places other than our earth.

No, we are calling attention to the long neglected issues that neo-cons, and their wealthy industrialist friends view as being unimportant. Actually, the conservative mascot should be the octopus. Its tentacles reach out and entrap unaware victims in deceitful ploys. Furthermore, when courageous activists expose their real intentions, they spray their black ink of lies, and deception, in an attempt to divert the people from what they are really up to. President Pee Wee, and his cadre of gangsters are finally being revealed for who they really are.

I think the Republicans used Monica Lewinski as a weapon of mass distraction and kept us from going after Osama bin Laden before he went after us. Then Bush used Iraq as another weapon of mass distraction. Osama is still out there and he is still a threat.

Absolutely! They do this because they have no practical solution to any real problem, like war, immigration, health care or social security. They would rather create a problem, (global warming is going to happen regardless of your stupid carbon offsets) appear to solve it and then market the crap out of that apparent success instead of spending the time and energy solving a real problem.

When liberals use scare tactics is for your own good.
They will say it is OK if some good comes out of it.
What is wrong with taking better care of the world.
In short they will justify their scare tactics but demonize all others.
It is call hypocriacy or liberalims kind the same term.
