I do use energy efficient light bulbs and turning off the lights when I leave the room - but that's just because it saves me money.

And I do ride a motorcycle a lot - but that's just because I really enjoy it.

And I do pay the few extra bucks for a recycling and recycled yard-waste bin - but that's because we could never get all our milk jugs and trimmings to fit in our normal trash can.

hmmmmm, you know, I'm seeing a pattern here that things that are benificial, or enjoyable to me, are easy to do - maybe that's true for everyone...maybe we should think of some "carrot" approaches instead of "stick" approaches of extra taxes - just a thought.

I buy green source power from PGE. I have a garden and recycle. I also volunteer and plant trees in my local watershed on the weekends. I conserve energy by walking, bicycling, using public transportation, and combining trips whenever practical.
