This is for research on my legal thriller. The scenario is this: my MFC was aiming for a 24-hour continuance. Besides bomb threats and murder attempts, she lost a witness and then a judge due to a car bombing in his car. The judge did grant a continuance; but due to his death, it's now a mistrial. I'm wondering if you can have the same jury selected or have to start all over again? Any legal experts in here like lawyers to help me out?

The strange part was a National survey of primary education shows RedsStates are higher in math and english skills. They have excelentl developmental skills. But fall behind in knowlege of history.

What Red Blue issue would cause this?
Also if you don't know the history of mistakes can you make informed choices?

BTW Georgia was not looking good.

I saw a Democrat propose a ban on incandescent lights in all homes and businesses with a fine if you still go on using them instead of new ones that burns less carbon. San Fran is also banning people to smoke outdoors to save carbon monoxide.
Wonder why they don't try to ban the private yachts and private jets they all use? How many people would like to change or could afford to change all your lighting systems? Seems like they are taking global warning on so they don't have to answer some of the questions like gang killings and the war over seas.
I think I would rather see them try to solve these matters first.

I live in TX, which is a red state...but I am as blue as blue can be. Same for those who live in a blue states and they themselves are red. My vote is never truly heard on a national scale, and politicians ignore our state when it comes to campaigning, etc. Although, suprisingly Obama did come here a couple of weeks ago...that never happens. It just makes no sense that a man can lose the popular vote, yet win the presidency...like what happened to Bush in 2000. It just does not seem right (or fair) that a few states like Ohio, Florida, Michigan, etc. get to decide our fate when it comes to the executive branch.

And for those who say that small states wouldn't get a fair say, that is what the Senate is for.

So, do you think the electoral college system is antiquated and no longer neccessary?
What effect do you feel that is has on democracy and voter apathy for that matter?

I have recently met and fallen in love with a guy who has been in this country for approx 6 years, as soon as he proposed to me he was honest enough to tell me his residency status (or should I say lack of status). When we met I assumed he had the right to stay here as he works here. It turns out he only has a temporary NI. He has his own mortgage, pays his council tax and is a good citizen (an overstaying person anyway). I would still like to marry him and would like to find out how to make his stay here legal so that we may get married. While the option is there to go back to his homeland, I am a qualified healthcare professional and can provide for us both if he had to give up his job, even though he earns good money too. Please don't judge him and be harsh, many readers are quite mean, but if I can be compassionate towards a fellow human, surely others can show some compassion, and maybe even some advice on my predicament....all I did was fall in love...

Does Bush's war on terror now include getting the US military caught in the middle of Civil Wars that have nothing to do with killing terrorists? Has Bush ever told the American people that the reason he invaded Iraq was to stop a civil war using the US military?

(Today the Pentagon officially admitted that there was a civil war in Iraq).

Hi,

I live in Europe, and i am from Hyderabad, though i am also from the Andhra district of Andhra Pradesh....
Now i was wondering why people want a seperate Telangana?
Cant we all live in peace together? I mean i am from Hyderabad, n i know lot of othesr people from the Andhra district who live and work in Hyderabad. So if Hyderabad becomes Telangana then there is no other major city in Andhra that can actually fund the state. We have all developed hyderabad and worked in it, it is so bad we suddenly have to give it away to another state we arent allowed to be in, our places wont be funded, n that is a total mess...
So actually i was wondering, why do u need a seperate Telngana? n why not share Hyderabad, like Punjab n Haryana do...?
This way everyone is happy n the city we all love will continue its rapid development without any prblems...
N plz dont say that (Vizag) Vishakpatnam is a major city... :|
I think it is not fair if a seprate telangana is frmed and Hyderabad isnt Andhra

I recently got charged with possesion of marijuana and paraphrenalia. I actually only had 2 bowls, no weed, but the cops charged the resin in my bowl as weed possesion. This doesn't seem fair, for if my bowls were clean, then it would just be glass, but i've heard that somehow, cops can do that if they want. I don't have enough money for an attourney. My court date is in perhaps, 4 or 5 days. I'm really stressed out about it. what should i do in court?

I like the CIA; But what is the deal with the $25 million reward for Bin Laden???

You would think one of those Taliban poppy farmers would cash out for $25M

So either Bin Ladin is not there, or somebody is not being honest about this.

Look at your average RedsStater they would sell out their own mother the constitution and a chance to be on the Springer show for $25M.
