I ask this, because several years ago I saw a cop's (LAPD) personal website, and he basically talked about the life of a cop, he posted pictures of his friends, family, cop buddies, etc... had a blog, etc. Usually he talked about the general public with disdain. And then he posted this story called "Why Cops Hate You." I thought it was written by him, but apparently it had been circulated around the internet for a few years.

Here is the story:

http://www.totse.com/en/law/justice_for_all/copshate.html

So if anyone, police officers especially, could give their own insight/opinions on the matter, that'd be greatly appreciated and will probably be interesting to read. Do you generally dislike the general public, and why?

I developed gestational diabetes while pregnant with my second child. Postpartum, my OB/GYN never mentioned my GD and never ordered postpartum blood tests to check to see if the diabetes was gone. My husband went into business for himself recently and we no longer have group medical coverage and applied for private medical insurance. I have been denied coverage because there was no postpartum follow up of my diabetes. Is there anything I can do legally about this?

Did they miss the part of sex ed that said "you have to have sex to get pregnant"?

And don't give me that nonsense about "teens are going to have sex anyway". I KNOW there was less sex between teenagers 50 years ago, try to prove me wrong. What do you think if a parent would have found his daughter at a "rainbow party" in 1950?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_Rainbow_Party

There is no "it wasn't as publicized back then". Bull, it didn't happen. There was LESS promiscuous sex, less abortions, and NO AIDS. I know they still had VERY rare abortions, but still much less than they do today.

However, since people commit abortions anyway, we should make them legal, correct? Well, should rape be legal? People do it anyway?
(I know that question was just asked, but NO ONE answered it! I wonder why? They just beat around the bush, as they will with this one...)

my husband is already a U.S. green card holder, but would like to become a citizen. what is the process?

Would you expect due process if detained overseas? Simple things like they have to tell you your charge and allow you to defend yourself.

Or, if they were just "really" sure you did something (which they won't tell you), you would be fine if they kept you locked up indefinitely.

Not that the US would ever do anything like that. (Gitmo) Just hypothetically speaking.

Instead of creating so much ire, why don't the immigrants (I won't name names here) work harder toward being the kind of people that we'd want to come to the US?
This past weekend there were a group of bikers of another race blocking the street so that traffic had to go down to one lane to get around them. They just looked at us with defiance. This was in my neighborhood, so do you think I want this kind of people out? Yeah, buddy!! Maybe if they hadn't blocked the street in the first place, maybe if they'd at least have moved out of the way and waved, maybe if they hadn't been looking at us white folks with their KMA looks, the feelings would be different. But they didn't do any of those things and they don't make themselves welcome.

Like it or not, US soldiers are there to protect and defend innocent people from terrorist insurgents who threaten to destroy their newfound freedom. If we leave now, the insurgents may or may not take over but we can't take that chance since the world needs the free flow of oil and Iraq is an oil-rich nation in terms of oil reserves. You can make the argument all you want about Bush and his oil buddies, but there are plenty of prominent democrats who have invested in big oil (like Soros with Halliburton), so your point is moot. The bigger picture is for the best interest of the world, so let's stick to non-partisanship please. We Americans have got to put aside hate and unite. When we act divided, now THAT is why other countries ar laughing at us.

Why did Hillary give “factually false” testimony under oath in the investigation of the White House Travel Office firings, as former Independent Counsel Robert Ray stated in his final report.

Ray said his office found “overwhelming evidence” she played a role in the dismissals of the seven longtime employees in the White House travel office, which she denied under oath.

Around 1985 when he was hanging out inTijuana strip clubs,he also met with a small group of Kawaites after his wet sheet encounters. In 89 while doing contract work around Subic an Entertainer(probablyNPA or AbuSayoff) who had worked in Kawaite for a couple of years mentioned the Sheik.Anyways the Kawaite connection is worth looking into,or is he a patsy. He was one flamboyant MF thats for sure,in his white suites, long limo with Californis plates.

I love both Russia & USA military. Recently I hv been making a research on the net about this and it seems Russians keeping inventing more and more top of the range missiles like the TOPOL M - SS27. By the way they also developed the deadly TSAR BOMBA that was more powerful than the atomic bomb dropped in Hiroshima and that has been dubbed "THE KING OF ALL BOMBS". However I'm not really conviced that Russia is best I just need somebody to help me. If it is then .........

Regretfully not yet. The gov. is loosing steam cause there is not enough money to prosecute everyone but let's face it, it's time to be pragmatic and accept to coexist with drugs by legalizing and regulating them and helping the addicts that want help.
