I developed gestational diabetes while pregnant with my second child. Postpartum, my OB/GYN never mentioned my GD and never ordered postpartum blood tests to check to see if the diabetes was gone. My husband went into business for himself recently and we no longer have group medical coverage and applied for private medical insurance. I have been denied coverage because there was no postpartum follow up of my diabetes. Is there anything I can do legally about this?

I am currently not covered by an insurance, so the cost of a lab draw diabetes test would be too much for us to pay. I was wondering if something could be brought up against the Dr, even just a complaint, not the insurance company.
