Sure, the Feds may not prosecute but they just turn it over to the state.
The pigs don't the War on Drugs to be over because that would mean they'd no longer be able to lie and steal people's property (including their drugs) and would have to engage in REAL police work like surveillance of known sex-offenders, searching for missing children, solving rape / murder / burglary cases, etc. all boring stuff for them but more beneficial to the community than trying to keep people from getting and using a product that they WANT and will ALWAYS be able to get.

A lot of times when someone isn't prosecuted for a drug related crime, it's because that person has made a deal to be a narc. That's the worst scenario for a drug dealer, a dopehead who's been turned.
Personally,I think the Muslims have the right idea in how to deal with dopers and I'm not referring to the so called Muslims here in our country ,they're a joke.
As far as legalizing the use of illegal drugs here in the good ol' United States, I think it's a farfecthed idea, a fantasy of all dopeheads. there are some countries that have implemented that type of legalism for their drug culture. If the mountain won,t come to Mohamed, then Mohamed should go to the mountain, and good riddance.

500oz of MJ. you will probably be under surveillance from the feds. More than likely they'll just be looking for your supplier. Then when they figure out who that is they'll put a squeeze on you to get you to testify against the bigger guys, and if you dont THEN you go to jail. As for helping the addicts its a pain to get away from drugs when they're absolutly everywhere, from the streets of New York to the backwood hills of Kentuckey. If the Govt could reduce the amounts available on the street. then the addicts might have a shot, but I know a bunch of junkies who dont want to be clean.

You would think (and hope) that it is, but sadly that is not the case. Here is a story that came out yesterday about a dying woman denied medical marijuana by the federal govt., even though conventional medicines have not worked to stem her pain and stimulate her appetite. Even her doctor was testifying on her behalf. The government does not want us to be able to get relief without somebody (Drug companies) making profits off of it. That is why they give patients legalized heroine in a pill form (OxyContin)

Grams, not pounds. If you've got 500 lbs, your still getting hit for intent to distribute. 500 pounds is several hay-bale sized bundles of marijuana

It'll be over when the bill is drafted and approved by the legislature and signed by the president. Until then, you're just dreaming...
