I know that the Navajo Nation has it's own government and economy and allocated area by the federal government, but are they still funded (even in part) by our tax dollars? Please list your source.

My dad died and he didnt have much...but he did have $1200 dollars in stock and a couple of older cars. His girlfriend had power of attorney and was responsible for using his assets to pay his bills left. My sister financed his funeral through the funeral home and the girlfriend never payed anything with his assets. We didnt know about the will until now. He died in late 2004. Can she be made to comply with the will? And what if she didnt pay anything..hospital bills,etc.?

I'm staggered to hear that, less than two years after winning the Olympic bid, we're three times over budget (£9bn now, after the original £2.5bn estimate). And there's STILL FIVE YEARS TO GO!!!! I understand someone forgot to add the VAT but that's only 17.5%, and would only bring the £2.5bn up to £4.5bn ... so where are all these additional costs coming from? And what will be the final figure (I dread to think).
Should our politicians be sacked for misleading us on the true costs?

American soldiers are in the dilusion that they deserve honor for what is in truth the invasion and occupation of a country, and the casual shooting of its citizens:

USA soldiers will kill 10, 20, or more Iraqi civilians to get just one insurgent, (even if they are inside an M1A Abrams tank), which was designed to survive Russian RPG rockets

what is outrageous is that they say they are doing all this for the Iraqi people, but they are there for oil, so that the USA jerks back home can keep driving their SUVs and not pay too much for gas!

USA soldiers spit in the face of the Iraqi people,

The American consumer spits in the face of the USA soldier (by driving gas guzzling SUVs),

USA soldiers, listen to me, you are living a lie, and you don't not belong in Iraq,

The least the US consumer can do for the soldiers in Iraq is to drive efficient transportation,

USA soldiers, you are JUST BEING USED by your government, oil companies, and even US society.

Since people are going to have sex (naturally) and CHOOSE not to protect themselves and they are going to have abortions ANYWAY - then it shoudl be legal just because people are going to do it

So, since people are going to rape, murder, steal, speed, drive drunk, etc, etc. ANYWAY - why not just make it legal?

I am outraged. Ok, a little background... My father was convicted of child molestation in 1996. He spent 3 months in jail and got out with 9 years probation. Since then, around 2005, my brother gave my father temporary custody of his 2 sons, both under the age of 5 at the time. Now, my brother has allowed my father to legally adopt one of his sons. He is now in the second grade, i think.
My question, which may be a legal one, is how in the world did they do this? Why would the state give custody of a child to a man with a criminal record such as he has? and why is he not required to register as a sex offender or predator? I have tried to locate the court papers where he plead guilty and served his conviction. I do not understand how such an evil human being can get ahold, legally, of another child that he may hurt! Please help if you have any insight on such a thing. I haven't had anything to do with my father for 11 years and no longer speak to my brother. I need some answers pls.

Aside from Christmas and Washington's birthday, (which is now generally just referred to as "Presidents Day" since Abraham Lincoln's birthday is no longer celebrated), no Federal holiday celebrates an individual.

Even when we celebrated Washington's birthday, it was due to his honored status as a founder of our country.

Why should Martin Luther King Jr. be given this huge, unprecedented honor above ex-Presidents, and other people like Benjamin Franklin or Ronald Reagan, who helped improve our country so greatly?

King had unsavory ties to Communists (no laughing matter), and, if you read the website below, will see abused women.

Before anyone wants to shout "racist !" at me, let me stop you in your Liberal tracks by mentioning that I am definitely not, and hereby pledge to donate $1,000 if Condaleezza Rice will accept the Republican nomination for President.

Years back I know this guy who wanted to be a cop. so he would hang around them . Then there was an opening in this small town , the guy didn't score high on the test there was someone else who did. The guy wa sgiven thje job because the cheif liked him and didn't want the gal to get the job even though she was working in the department. So this guy gets the job, after a time he leaves and goes to a bigger force stays there awhile. Then goes on to the city to be a cop. Oh besides that he has taken from a former employer. He smoked grass too. But his family thinks he 's the greatest because he's a cop. They think his brother is crap because he never got the breaks,

It' interesting to see how people think, and I'm really curious if everyone agrees on that one or if you think there's any issue more important than being alive !!

Most of you know that I care deeply about many other issues, but for the life of me(no pun intended), I do not understand how any issue could possibly be more important
