Too many snouts in the trough, not only Politicians.
Strangely someone will get a Knighthood and/or a Lordship out of this.
I'm thinking about going to my bank and saying that I've made a mistake and I only owe you a quarter of what you think.
The bank would laugh me out of town.
The Politicians did not mislead us. They are just a bunch of inept buffoons, with no common sense what- so-ever.
Any person on the street could recognise that a project this size would cause artificial shortages and a price hike, likewise would also recognise that there will be corruption.
Look out for the one raised to Nobility after this lot; I wonder if Geoffrey Archer is the organiser.

The Olympic games will cause Londoners chaos. The traffic in London is already unbearable, but these games will serve to make it even worse. The costs will be borne by the taxpayer and many people (who already have considerable wealth) will become even richer.
It is too late to complain though, I complained when it was announced that London had won the bid and was labelled a killjoy.
As for sacking politicians for lying.......history has proved that politicians have always done so.....perhaps the only way to get rid of politicians is to suggest that they are harbouring Weapons of Mass destruction in the House of Commons.......does this ring any bells?

As for sacking politicians for mendacity.......history has proved that politicians have consistently achieved so.....in keeping with hazard the only thank you to do away with politicians is to characterize that they are harbouring weapons of Mass destruction in the domicile of Commons.......does this ring any bells?

No. Politicians are just figure heads and have no control over things like set backs and construction costs. At the same time keep in mind that the Olympics generally brings in (if i remeber correctly) about 20 billion in revenu for the city hosting it.

it is not worth thinking about it was obvious it was going to cost more than they said it would think of the other things that cost more than they said for example the millennium dome, wembely arena and the new bath spa
i am just waiting to see if it will be ready in time if it is it will be amazing and the cost will probably double between now and then just to make sure it does all open in time
i didn't want the Olympics in England anyway it is going to be more trouble than it is worth and the normal tax payers that are paying for it wont get to go because they wont be able to afford it for one reason or another, also i think it will make us more of a terrorist target

I think they should pay the extra cost out of their own pocket, they can't keep increasing our taxes just to pay for... a what? A sport stadium worth £9billion? What a bloody waste! It'll be knocked down ten years after its opened anyway because of the running cost!

Of all the mistakes politicians have made this is insignificant compared with the deaths resulting from taking us to war in Iraq

They didn't mislead me. I was hoping Paris would win it.
Is obvious that it would have to be financed and that it would be the taxpayer doing the financing.
If you have any spare of that 9.3bn, could I have £930 please for a new PC? Mine suddenly keeps hanging...

whether the olympics are apprently not ready, they shouldn't be sacked. If it's abused then all signs point to yes.
