If John Doe were acquitted of a murder, but later a video tape was found showing him commit that murder, is he still protected from prosecution for that crime?

What would you do if

1) you found out God endorsed either Democrats or Republicans (whichever isn't your general view point)?

2) someone made a point for the opposition that was a perfect argument and no rebuttle possible?

3) Next Presidential election there was a 3rd party that supported your ideas fully but you doubted they had a chance in hell of winning?

4) Bush admits that he really did go into Iraq for the oil and he knew there was no WMDs?

5) Bush admits that there were WMDs but chose to keep it a secret to save the world?

I've found over 94 treaties that the Native Americans signed with the government from 1800-1824, as well as several supreme court rulings and ambiguous state and federal laws that could be used to justify the "Removal Act." For the most part, it simply seems like the government wanted the land and found loophole after loophole to get what it wanted. It's easy to sympathize with the Native Americans but much harder to understand how the government found ways to "legalize" this wholesale removal thing.

I am considering writing my graduate thesis on abuse and exploitation by UN workers and peacekeepers. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a specific angle I could approach this from... I can examine the regulations in place to deal with this type of issue, how these can be enforced - if the UN really has any power to enforce punishments for the crime. But this is just examining the issue, I don't know how I can maek this more thesis worthy - in other words even if I had suggestions I wouldn't be able to put them in place and examine the outcome... I don't know what else I could do with this topic.

I was raised in the rust belt and left for the east coast long ago. Many of the neoconservative ideas are identicle to what I would hear from aunts and uncles that farmed and lived in west virginia, ohio, and kentucky in the 1970's: Universities were filled the left wing radicals, a distrust of newspapers and magazines, homosexuality is a sin, taxes are evil and welfare helps lazy people and so on. Is neoconservatism just a hillbilly wearing new clothes?

I know the military has 6 weeks of leave granted to a woman who just had a baby. There is even some permissive TDY granted a few days before the birth in some cases such as living overseas and having to travel to a military hospital if the base doesn't have a full hospital.

My question is, do the Federal Civil Service employees (GS-9 with several years alread in) have something similar?

If there is, please provide a reference for the regulation. I know somebody who was told she cannot take time off to have a baby unless she wants to burn her regular leave...and she only has about a week of leave saved up.

Ok, I need some advise, from some of you please. My boyfriend and I recently purchased our first home (my mom also lives w/ us) - He hung up an american flag in the front of the house a few weeks ago, and my mom decided to take it upon her self to take the flag down. My boyfriend came home, saw that it was down, asked her,and she said yes I hate it, its disrespctful having it hung up all the time like that..Than he came up to tell me that he was pretty pissed off. So, today I told my mom that he was upset and it needs to go back up etc.and wanted to know her reasoning.. she said she grew up putting the flag up in the morning, and taking it down in the evening, foldign it up every day the proper way etc..and she thinks that regardless if we are at war it is disrespectful to have it hung all day and night be it rain or shine. She also just hates the look of it where it is at, and thinks it looks trashy. He wants it up all the time. What SHOULD I DO? they are both mad, and i'm in midd

They want to redefine words like 'marriage', 'terrorism', 'patriot', etc... They teach in the schools that Nixon started Vietnam and not Camelot Jack and that Nixon, but not Clinton, was impeached. Already they try to say WMDs (another word they try to re-define) were never found in Iraq and THAT was the only reason the US legally (under International law and per UN resolution) Iraq.

Are they trying to emulate Stalinism or are they too lazy to research history, and just got it from 1984? It couldn't be any more obvious unless they changed their name to INGSOC.
