I see illegals putting roofs on houses, doing brick work and building houses. These have always been historically middle class jobs. So how can now US Citizens be too good to do them?

I watched the 5th Estate last night - Part of the program showed how the American media has been slanted to the right and political pressure has been put on broadcasters to toe the Presidential line
Anne Coulter was asked a few questions - Do you think Iraq is better off today Her Answer was "Do you get newspapers in Canada?" The reporter asked a few American representives why it was that the poison gas used by Sadam to kill Kurds was used to justify the war when it was the Americans who sold it to Sadam and that happened 15 years before the invasion -Again no answersThe reporter then asks why has there been a war with Iraq when Saudi Arabia is the one who housed the terrorists Bin Laden and supplied the plans for the 9/11 attack? -- No answers at all - I believe Anne Coulter's well thought out response was to looked miffed the reporter had the guts to ask a real question What is it with the so called free press down there. I am getting the impresion that the media has been ceased

I often hear conservatives express concern for the small business owners...but do you actually support them? Do you make an effort to spend your money in their stores? Or is saving a few bucks at the big box retailers more important to you?

If an embryo is a child, then why do we count our ages from the date of birth, rather than the date of conception?

You're alone, in front of a burning building(either you accidentally start the fire or not), a child is trap under some beam and is definately going to die. You have a gun and you can put a bullet in between the eyes of a flea 90 yard away(i.e. instantaneous death/humane put down with no pain to a person if you chose to do so). Do you put the child out of his misery, or not? (no repercussion from the law, whatsoever.)

(I wouldn't, life is suffering, and the child haven't suffer enough)

I am 23 years old, and am concerned that if something happens to my mom custody of my six-year old brother would go to her abusive/alcoholic ex-husband. Can she write a valid will at home to give me custody just in case? Her ex-husb. has a long criminal record incl. repeat DUI, DWI, Drunk in Public, and Possession charges, so maybe I don't need to even worry, because a court would see that he is unfit. I work full-time, have my own car, and make enough to support my brother & I, so I like to think I could get custody. Still, I want to know how I can get a will for her done, we don't have the money for a lawyer....Thanks!

I just joined the Navy, scheduled to leave for basic training in June. A week after I swore in and signed my contract my Navy recruiter calls me and says that MEPS did my background check and I have a warrant from not completing my community service hours from a "Theft Under $300" charge from 1998, but my recruiter, a few other people and i have called the central processing staion, the court houses, court clerks, and police stations, and they all say there is no record of me having any warrants. Now the Navy might not want to take me in, how is this possible???

I need to update my personal survival kit -- what is your latest?

Also need to back up an old friends survival kit from WWII. The minimum is as follows:

1. Sub-machine gun, your favorite.
2. Ammo, much as you think necessary.
3. Case of cigarettes.
4. Case of bourbon
5. Case of chocolate.
6. Case of pantyhose.
7. Case of toilet paper.

My friend's theory: Throughout history, In time of war or disaster, women always have what you need. If he is right the above barter items seem pretty good? But I am wondering if we need to substitute something in place of pantyhose? Are they still the best thing for this kit?

ps. The machine gun is just to protect the survival kit.
