why not take all felons out of prisons in US and send them to iraq. Fight for their lives like our soldiers are doing. No more three hots and a cot. No more $55,000 per inmate that WE pay for them. If they manage to stay alive, then be set free cause when our poor military guys come home they are usually so physically mamed, mentally distraught, etc., they are unable to pick up where they left off with their families and/or jobs, which may or may not be waiting for them. Is there a law protecting the creeps in prison? Take all the guys on deathrow and let them have a field day over there. What do you think?

It's gonna happen, we can't keep killing our offspring forever. Sooner or later women will understand that they have to take responsibility for their actions. The question is: when?

The Thirteenth Amendment was passed in 1865, officially ending slavery after almost 20 years of slavery. Although, since the country was founded in 1776, let's say there were almost 100 years of slavery in America.

Obviously, abortion is much worse than slavery. At least they (usually) didn't kill the slaves, and the slaves had a chance to escape. However, embryos have no such chance.

Now Roe v. Wade was passed in 1973, over 30 years ago. Hopefully, history won't repeat itself, which would mean we have 70 years of this disaster left.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

...but not the War on Poverty?

If only they were as result-oriented in the War on Poverty we would have abolished Social Security, welfare, food stamps and the like ages ago! Because theres more poverty than ever before, with trillions of dollars spent and no end in sight. Talk about a REAL quagmire!

All they do is complain: "moore troops" or "not enough troops", depending on what suits them at the time. They act all indignent when Osama isn't caught immediately or Al Queda isn't destroyed in a week's time. They get disgruntled when strategy needs to be adjusted.

But for the War on Poverty, they seem to have a wellspring of never-ending support; no cost is too high; no program is too inept; no funding should ever be curtailed; and new approaches are always welcomed, never criticizing the old failed ones. Because for liberals, I guess, the appearence of "fighting" poverty is far more important than actually defeating it.

What utter hypocrisy!

I have been fostering with the same agency for almost 3 years. I had a 13 month old child on a ventilator for 5 months and a paraplegic 5 year old with some psychiatric issues for 2 and a half years. Over the years I have had issues regarding the lack of assistance in correct reimbursement leveling, and finding resources to help children, as well as lack of placement of children in my home. I had admitted that I may research other foster agencies and switch.
The foster agency called me in the afternoon (a few months later) to tell me they where removing the children to another one of their foster homes because they had concerns about me teaching the 5 year old to catherize himself for urine and that I would receive detailed information in the mail. They told me that they would not liscence me anymore. The children were thriving in my home and making big progress. I don't believe this was in the best interest of the children especially the 5 yr. old since he has trust issues and h

That the citizens of the U.S. are in some way obligated to them to continue fighting the insurgency in Iraq for as long as it takes?
I think you guys forget that the Union (the U.S.) is much more important than the military. You are a part of the overall country and therefore your mission is defined by the U.S. tax payer not your patriotism.
We as Americans are not obligated to continue to fund you guys unlimited to fight a war that is at a stale mate. Support the troops or not... the troops do not determine when the war is over...we do and i think, we've had long enough in Iraq.

Below are ten good reasons to impeach our incompetent president. In addition to these reasons, he is conspiring with big multinational corporations to create a North American union with Mexico and Canada, which would eliminate the borders between the US and these two countries. The creation of this union would be the end of the US as a sovereign nation. Also, Bush ordered the malicious prosecution of Border Patrol agents Ramos and Campion on the orders of Presidente Fox of Mexico!
I ask Congress to impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney for the following reasons:

1.Violating the United Nations Charter by launching an illegal "War of Aggression" against Iraq without cause, using fraud to sell the war to Congress and the public, misusing government funds to begin bombing without Congressional authorization, and subjecting our military personnel to unnecessary harm, debilitating injuries, and deaths.

Before the elections in November, Congress was Republican-dominated and the President is a Republican... so if the tax situation in this country is so unfair to Republicans, why wasn't it corrected?

And don't tell me because the liberals would have been upset - we're upset about the war and that hasn't changed anything.
