I live on a heavily wooded, fully landscaped lot...so should that be the carbon offset for my wife's big SUV?

Hey - I live on 100 acres, 95 of which are heavily wooded, and I've already figured this one out. The answer is YES!!! You, my friend, have earned yourself all the carbon offsets you can carry.

Feel free to buy and use all the SUVs, high-performance cars & watercraft, and tractors, snowblowers, leafblowers, chainsaws, etc. that your little heart desires. I have and it FEELs good - very, very good!

I mean, I'm helping the planet and partying on down - hard. I ask you, what more could a boy want?!?

If you are Al Gore, even having a single rose bush entitles you to:

1. Consume up to 100,000 pounds of Jet fuel as you fly around telling everyone to vote for your silly movie for the viewers choice awards.

2. Drive a caravan of limousines roughly 10,000 miles a year to get your mail at the end of your driveway. Also count the junk mail as possible trees, and total toward carbon credits.

3. Power and heat 4 mansions using enough fuel and energy to power Bankok, Thailand for one month.

4. 1 month of use of your coveted Briggs and Stratton powered can opener.

In the end, tell yourself that your maintenance of said tree or rosebush entitles you to a "Gore credit" which you write off your taxes to help the environment.

Probably not, but you are now thinking in the right direction.

We impact the Earth in lots of ways. If you take out a bigger than average chuck in one area, it is good to take less in another. If everyone did that we'd all be a lot better off.

They are not worth a hoot unless they are leaving a foot print. Keep checking, you may find one in about 400 years.

Who cares. Global warming is the biggest scam going. Go ahead and line Al Gore's pockets if you wish.

Global warming is such a joke, huh?

It was global cooling 20 years ago.

I'd say with that lot you should have TWO SUVs and if you need a third just plant some flowers!
