I know of no such thing. If you are referring to criminal checks that information is public in some cases and undisclosable in others under FOI guidelines.

What kind of "background check" are you looking for?

If you want to know about your criminal history, that is generally available for a fee through your state's justice department or Attorney General.

It's never free. They might give you a week or two but they
need your credit card number before you can do anything.

Dont think you can, but if I recall, your city government office only charges about 10 bucks.
