I've only seen some good objective coverage of the Saudi issue from MSNBC. Here are two excellent articles - one describing how most foreign fighters in Iraq are Saudi - and a second explaining why this is the case (they were encouraged by the head of the Saudi supreme court, among others).

But I don't believe even MSNBC opposed the war back in early 2003. Nobody had the balls then. Although you do see some encouraging pieces like this one, which clearly accused Bush of having oil as the ulterior motive.

Anybody with a head on their shoulders and a little google skill could easily determine that - pre 9/11 - Al Qaeda's main supporters were Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. All were U.S./CIA allies when we helped to establish Bin Laden and other militant Islamic mujahedeen in Afghanistan to fight the Soviets in the 1980's - and those countries kept up the relationships with Bin Laden right up to 9/11 and beyond.

The official 9/11 commission report even details the Saudis lack of cooperation in U.S. anti-terrorism efforts, the role played by UAE state-owned banks in money laundering (virtually all the money used to carry out 9/11 passed through UAE banks), and Pakistani intelligence's relationship with Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Why would we go to war with the Saudis? They sell us oil and often cheaper than the rest. The families Saud, Bin Laden and Bush have been friends and business partners for decades.

As far as major news media against the war there were probably some major ones but people fail to recognize them. Others may have been duped, lied to by the Administration just like Congress and the American people so they believed until the truth came pouring forth.

This Administration has been more closed than any in history so when something does come out from them everybody pounces on it as something, which is better than nothing.

I just want to point out that the media is controlled by corporations who have well known ties with the government (ie. Cheney and Halliburton). I would start using the internet to look for news, its faster and you can find multiple sources very quickly. Plus, you get alot more independent media that is much more honest.

New York Times. They lead the socialist, liberal, Democrat movement in news corruption.

The reason this is so, is for fifty years of socialist, liberal, Democrat control, media were subsidized by "entitlements" handed out by the Dems. So, the media has rolled over to support socialist liberalism- the Democrat party (which is as undemocratic as you can get). Truth has been suppressed to promote and protect socialism.

MSNBC: The entire network is against the war.

NBC: Mostly

CBS: Mostly.

CNN, ABC, and FOX NEWS have a bit of both.

don't know where you've been getting your news coverage, but if you watch any station but FNC, you'll be bombarded with anti-American rants on a daily basis, the major newspapers are very anti-American too
