I have to applaud THEM for actually having a job though.

I don't know even ONE Republican who is on welfare or who works in those jobs.

Wow talking about profiling. If a law is past and I qualify for that particular income, then why not? I was considerd by my dad a tax thief because of the deductions I took with my children and a few other deductions. I told him, I didn't have anything to do with passing those laws but I"m gonna take advantage of them because of all the laws preventing me from doing other things. Hell, he was a republican but I remember eating yellow grits and powderd eggs and drinking powderd milk when things got bad for him. As soon as things got better so did our lives for the better. I thenk America for the programs we have when financial difficulty comes around and we have 8 kids to feed and cloth. I see your point and consider it a good question so for those that don't understand welfare is there for those that may have an obstcale to over come. A very close friend that was 33 and wanted to go to collage after her company shut down drew food stamps and got a grant to school because she was a singlr parent and I helped with fianances to so she got her degree and got a good job and now pays a larger tax that improves everthing for everybody. She didn't want to collect welfare until I told her in the end Your paying it back, and that's what welfare was meant for.

You may notice that most of these workers are also black, and Hispanic. A lot of the Hispanics are illegal aliens. They don't mind doing subservient jobs, because they get paid off the backs of Americans, and is more than they can earn in Mexico. As for black folks, don't think a lot of them don't get welfare along with their jobs at the fast food restaurants. Their family gets it, however, the workers themselves receive the benefits. Some of the folks working at these places are just teenagers trying to get ahead, and make a difference for themselves. I appreciate getting my hamburger's, and fries served by someone, and I am very glad that some black folks are willing to work so hard to make ends meet, but it is the illegals who are doing wrong here, by taking advantage of our system. They need to go home, and make their own country better. Enough is enough. The jobs belong to Americans.
These people are Democrats, because the Democrats give away the free-bies, housing, education, and food stamps. Democrats give away healthcare, SSI, and Disabilty, and let people not work, when they are perfectly capable of doing do.

Theres a lot of people out there - good, honest, hard-working people - who work such jobs because life's obstacles got in thier way of getting a good education. But don't we need all these people? What if there was no one to make a Big Mac, check you out at Wal-mart, or clean up your spills?Democrats believe these people deserve fair compensation, not pittance like the republicans would prefer. Democrats want to empower all people, republicans seem to want the return of the fuedal system. that's why!

I've got news for you, my friend. Democrats on average are far wealthier and better educated. 8 of the top 10 wealthiest states are Blue States... the states with the best education are blue states, the states rated "best places to live" are blue states... Ever heard of the "Liberal Elite" It may be why dems are more likely to suppor tax hikes, they can afford it.

The average Republicans are soccer moms, "values voters," and other middle class suburbanites.

Sadly, most people on Welfare wouldn't know the difference and are very unlikely vote. Frankly, if I was struggling to feed my family, I probably wouldn't pay much attention, either.

Yeah, I wonder why all republicans are arrogant, book smart but lacking in the common sense area, elitist pigs. You might want to step outside your elitist circle of friends, if you have any friends, and take a good look around you. I know plenty of republicans barely scraping by and doing whatever it takes to support their families, no matter what the job title

No really,,,I do have a buddy who is a repub and he cleans sewers for the city. Seems they needed someone who was used to being in the gutter.

Two reasons come to mind. One is because a lot of them are students, whose teachers are all Liberal Democrats. The other reason is so many unskilled workers have bought into this "Democrat is for the little guy" B.S. Most people have no idea what they can accomplish without the assistance of some Bureaucrat.

Hmm interesting especially since the states with the highest percentages of post secondary educated persons tends to be Blue states.

What are you talking about? Do you have any sources to back this up? or is this just your personal experience?

Give me some data to back this up, but until then I'm writing you off as a close minded right-wing snob. It sounds like you think you're so much better than the janitors or cashiers in the world. It is really sad to see this.
