I can think of 4 who came from Texas, that were the presidents of the United States. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson, George Bush Sr., and George Walker Bush, our current president. Presidents of the Republic of Texas are David G. Burnet in 1836, Sam Houston, in 1836-1841, Mirabeau B. Lamar, in 1838-1841, Sam Houston again, in 1841-1844, then Anson Jones in 1844-1846. Yes, I did my homework.
