There's talk on the street, it sounds so familar
Great expectations. . everybody watching you
People you meet, they all seem to know you
Even your old friends, treat ya like you're something new
Johnny come lately. . . the new kid in town

You look in her eyes. . the music begins to play
Hopeless romantics, here we go again
But after awhile, you're lookin the other way
It's those. . rest-less hearts that never mend
There's a new kid in town, I don't wanna hear it. . . .. . .. . . ..

Barak is the new kid in town, but gaining very quickly .

Who's your choice ?

Under English law one is tried by one's peers. When was the last time a peer of the realm was tried by the House of Lords rather than by a normal jury?

will the world take hillary seriously as a female president? theyll look at the US as a p*ssywhipped nation who cant stand up to anything. especially the arab nations. libs, keep your accusations of racism, bigotry, sexism, and whatever else to yourselves, Im talking about perceptions of a female president on the world stage. I can't believe I have to explain this to them as a disclaimer, thanks to their "political correctness".

I want to force a company to give me all records of the recorded calls from when I have phoned them - if they exist.

How can I do this? I was thinking of usign the Data Protection Act 1998 Subject Access Request - would this work?

DO I have to give times and dates of when I called them or can I just ask for all recordings they have of me?

thanks

Is it not the case of the ostrich burying its head in the sand? It's one thing to preach that "I believe in non-discrimination on basis of colour or creed" but when it comes to practice, how many of us actually live up to the stated ideal. When was the last time you did not listen to a racist joke/innuendo made by a close friend/acquaintance without reprimanding him/her straightaway that you do not "enjoy this sort of prejudiced action"?

Much of the racism and prejudice is in peoples' ,MINDS and this disease has to be fought at a political, ideological and spiritual level. As long as there is this tendency of "denial" - little progress is to be achieved. Why is that few people believe in empathetically addressing the issue from the perspective of the victim? What prevents your moral conscience from understanding the true nature of the grievance that a person might have?

Is it not that the UK didn't have a US-style civil rights movement that the issue is being swept under the rug

The United Nations determined that raising animals for food generates more greenhouse gases than all the cars and trucks in the world combined. Many people depending on where they live need to drive cars, but they don't have to eat meat.

This has me confused. Some people believe that what we are experiencing is the natural course of things. After all, Greenland must have been green at one time, and had this happened 100 years ago, might have been acceptable. But, considering all the polution, rocket fuel, jet fuel etc. isn't it possible that we are causing this weird weather?

Are they asking you for help to pay their hotel bill, airline ticket, or medical expenses. If so, then you have a scammer. The gal you are talking to is a male not a female. It is a scam people.

My father was recounting his time in the Army doing National Service the other day, and we both thought how it might benefit the UK if school leavers still had to do two years.

This is something I would seriously like to pursue, but how to go about it? With our Armed Forces cut-backs there surely aren't the resources to deal with such a large volume of temporary recruits? How else could they be trained and employed- maybe with military discipline but in a civilian capacity? Do you have any thoughts? I'd like to see then rebuild our once-great Royal Navy, personally!

How can I go about getting the right people hearing my ideas- do I have to stand outside Downing Street waving a 'Bring Back National Service' banner or is there actually someone I can write to?

Thanks!

PS: A big thank you to all of our serving and retired forces personnel and Reservists for your work.

What about the border guards that were doing their jobs? What kind of hypocritical goverment/administration is this? We pardon drug dealers and guilty "white collar criminal" but not innocent hard working Americans who are being scapegoated for political gain? Whatever happened to "release 1000 criminals to save an innocent man" (paraphrased)? Is there any justice anymore?

I'm just wondering, with the billions of dollars spent weekly on this "war against terror", gross goverment mispending, and the vasts amounts of capital in the treasury why cant we do it?

Is it that far fetched? How hard is it to build a 3000 mile wall, electrified fences, with sensors and cameras with patrol stations every 100-200 miles or so? Heck you might be able to throw in a moat while your at it.

The technology is available. the money certainly is not an issue.I don't understand? Why do they say illegal immigration is bad, but then allow it to happen?
