I wonder how many people realize that the minimum wage increase was just political posturing...
All it means is that teenagers, and select adults will make x-amount more, meanwhile all other wages will be raised (given time) to compensate for inflation, and the increase in product prices.
In the long run the so-called raise will be cancelled out and it will be back to square one as if there was no raise at all.

That is an interesting question, I haven't heard any more about it either. I don't support it though, I have 2 teenagers, and I wouldn't pay the both together $7+ an hour. Minimum wage jobs were never intended to be a career option.

It won't effect everyone who already makes extra effective than minimum salary, including a plumber. Plumbers make 70 or additional funds in step with hour. the fee of residing could pass up a splash whether it may take a on a similar time as till now that happens.

-cheapens the dollar
-encourages inflation
People should be more educated than rely on the minimum wage.
