Leo, President Bush would be making a political mistake by pardoning Libby or anyone else now. It may happen downstream but I seem to recall the White House casting some doubt recently on the pardon of Libby. It is not a certainty and if he does it, the timing must be right so as not to undermine the Republican Presidential Candidates.
BTW - Who are the "innocent hard working Americans wae being scapegoatede for political gain:" Just who are these scapegoats and who are they covering for. Please address this in an update to your question.

Depends on the Prosecutor...If he wants to pursuit the truth than he will threaten Scooter with a heavy jail sentence to break his spirits. Than he'll offer a deal for a light sentence for his cooperation in indicting Karl Rover or Dick Cheney. If the Prosecutor folds the case...Scooter will get a last week pardon as Bush leaves office. Then a freed Scooter will get a good job and hook up to keep his mouth shut for the rest of his life.

Libby is just doing his duty for the Bush/Cheney Mafia. Somebody had to take the fall for Cheney, at the very least so he wouldn't have to go to thur and embarrassing trial. Scooter is taking his punishment like a man who is scraficing part of his life for his Godfathers & he will be rewardly handsomely once he gets out of jail IF he even goes to jail which he probably won't. Scooter is a GOP hero.

Bush should pardon Libby as well as the border patrol agents
and fire the prosecutors of both cases..
He should also pardon everyone in jail for drugs.
He should resign in shame for his failure to do his constitutional
duty and protect our southern border from illegal immigration.

What makes you think the American justice system has anything to do with justice? It may have been conceived that way, but current practice is nearly totally political (particularly at District Court level and above).

I agree with the first poster, Bush will not pardon him...right now at least. I also agree with you on the point about the Boarder Agents, and is it true the bullets and fragments found on the ILLEGAL did not match ballistics test with the convicted boarder guards guns?
Does make you feel sick doesn't it!

He's not going to risk pardoning anyone right now. He'll wait until after the election.
