diagnosed with Breast Cancer and Emphsemia. She is 75 years old and was employed up until 8 months ago when she was layed off. She is on oxygen now and it is hard for her to get around. She receives about $963.00 in Social Security. Her rent is $400.00 a month, not counting electricity which usually at least $200.00 per month and a few other bills. ( water , phone etc.) Is there any possibility she would qualify for any type of disability income to help her with her rent? My husband and I help her pay for her meds along with her medicare. We do whatever we can. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

So, I'm driving home from work in a tiny town with a stop sign at every block and not enough traffic to justify them all. I turn right at a "T" where there is a stop sign...yes, I stopped... and some cop training a baby-faced cadet is sitting down the street like a parked car. Junior needs some practice filling out paper work and whatnot, so they pull me over and claim I didn't stop at that corner. Is this not bullcrap? I know the kid needs practice and there isn't enough crime here to give him some, but charging me an unjust fine so the rug rat can fill out a citation is unethical. The thing is, I'm railroaded; there's not a thing I can do, is there?

why did the u.s., as well as india russia and china, refuse to adhere to french president jaques chirac's appeal to 46 countries to take up responsibility to reducing the amount of green-house gas emmisions they produce?

Mns. president chirac and government came up with the appeal after the un had warned of global warming shifting the climate, which would cause drought and disease, expand oceans, and displace costal populations. the national panel of scientists say that humans are in fact to blame.

background info tells us that these large countries are rich, and industrial, is economy a factor in their not consenting? i just think it looks rather bad. whats your opions?

I love helping people & agree that more should be done here at home & abroad but I don't get the sudden celebrity craze to save the world especially africa. I mean did I miss something in like the last year or two that suddenly change things because most if not all the things going on in Africa & that celebrities are suddenly preaching about have been going on for years & even before Bush yet now suddenly the blinders come off & on top of that I don't see or hear them doing anything or donating money but they can get paid to ask us for it? I want to save the world & undo things that have been wrong but shouldn't they do something to? It doesn't seem fair that they ask us to do something yet do nothing & even get paid to ask us to do something or spend money on things like Dufar or Ruwanda that have been going on for years even decades like the world was peaceful & equal during Clinton or before. Even without Bush in office anytime Africa would still be shunned by the world sad but true

I am planning to make a poster for a scholarship. I was wondering if I could use some photos I've seen on the internet. Now, I don't plan on stealing someone's piece and use it as my own. I simply want to integrate some photos into my theme of the poster. How can I do it without being sued or accused of theft. I've tried to get in contact with some photographers, but I haven't received any feedback. Any suggestions?

i got an 88 on my asvab...
i will ONLY join the navy.
i want to enlist and serve 4-6 years as enlistee, then go for OCS and try for pilot.... a job that could benefit the plan would be ideal...
i want a job with an extremely small chance of sea duty...
i DONT want a desk job, or a job that should require me to use my brain............... like computers or whatever..
i want a job that'll have me outside...
i dont want to go for special ops.
what jobs fit the above?... other than seabee?

I went to Ghana, West Africa last year on a business visa to work with an NGO and am returning this summer for the same reason. I got a multiple entry visa and it says 'Endorsed for 90 days' and 'Valid until June/08' which to me seems to contradict, so I can't figure if I need another visa or not. I asked the Ghana embassy through e-mail, but got no reply. Any clue?....and please, don't say 'check the web page' DUH! Answer only if you could actually help. :)

If there is any truth to the statement that man has caused global warming then we must know for a fact that the temperature between 1500 and 1600, 1600 to 1700 and 1800 to 1900 did not increase because there was virtually no man made global warming gases being produced during these times. If the temperature was increasing during these times then the liberals are lying about the current temperature increase being caused by man. Does anyone have any scientific data that shows average world temperature did not increase during the centuries before the 1900's (sources please)? If you do not, how in the world could you believe that the majority of global warming is caused by man?

I've finally come to understand that conservatives are nothing, but insecure bullies. They are afraid of their own shadows. They despise everyone, because they are afraid of everyone. They're warmongers, because that makes them forget their impotence. As long as they don't have to do it themselves, they'll support anything that makes them forget their cowardice. I'm so relieved! Hell I thought these tough talking, hate spouting arrogant bullies were actually a threat. Hell they're children! Scared children. Hahaha All they need is a good scolding and a little comfort.

I think there should a law saying that anybody who has sex with a minor (under 18 ) goes to jail, no matter what his age/her age is. The present law says that if you are 19, you go jail, but if you are 17, it is ok for you to have sex with anybody. That I think is stupid ! What do you say ?

I just watch a guy get pulled out of his car and beaten for refusing to hand over his license and registration by a cop who pulled him over. The kid just asked why he was being pulled over. I just don't think that deserves a beating.
