So, I'm driving home from work in a tiny town with a stop sign at every block and not enough traffic to justify them all. I turn right at a "T" where there is a stop sign...yes, I stopped... and some cop training a baby-faced cadet is sitting down the street like a parked car. Junior needs some practice filling out paper work and whatnot, so they pull me over and claim I didn't stop at that corner. Is this not bullcrap? I know the kid needs practice and there isn't enough crime here to give him some, but charging me an unjust fine so the rug rat can fill out a citation is unethical. The thing is, I'm railroaded; there's not a thing I can do, is there?

showing up to court usually does the trick - I'm from a small town where that sort of BS goes on all the time, (my hubby was pulled over because the cop said he was "going to speed"!)
If you show up to court they'll usually drop the charge before your case even comes up, because they know it's bogus and in a small town the judge gtes sick of seeing the same cops pulling crap, so they know if the judge sees it it will probably get tossed anyway.
Good luck!

Go to court and fight the ticket, take pictures with you of the intersection and which direction you were headed and where the cop car was at the same time of day so that the pictures are a direct reflection of what happened. As a general rule cops dont pull people over and write citations for no reason (contrary to popular belief). Also consider how many times you have committed traffic violations and not been caught, I am willing bet that the odds have been in your favor.

Either shut it and pay the ticket or go to court on it. The cop was probably experiencing a lull in duty and ran some traffic enforcement. Despite urban myths and "best friend is a cop" theories, there is no quota for Cops. However, if you want to show your boss you are active and deserve to keep your job, you write the occasional ticket.

Everyone who gets a ticket swears up and down they didn't do what it was they got ticketed for. And I will tell you, 95% of the time they are lying, they just don't like getting caught. I only write the things where there is no margin for debate! (unless I am wanting to pull you over and find other stuff)

So try and fight it my friend and you might win. That's your only chance. If not, quit your fricking whining and stop next time.

You should just be thankful that there are men and women who are willing to sacrifice their time, their families, and their own safety to do this job! I'm sure you "think" you stopped, but the reality is that most people accused of a crime say they didn't do it. Most police officers that I know would rather NOT have to do the paperwork associated with a ticket. So why not try making their job easier rather than harder next time and MAKE SURE you stop at the stop sign?!?!?

it isn't common in any respect, yet stop and picture... in case you've been area of a brotherhood that shared a common concept equipment hostile to a mass of those who could turn on you, could you betray your 'better 1/2'? And besides, the position is your hostility coming from in any case? The police may be the least of your concerns right this moment... Your anger could be directed in route of each and each of the chemical substances we are uncovered too. In cleansing soap, shampoo, bottled water, fantastically our ingredients. Do you imagine the police placed poisonous chemical substances in our food? And, in case you smoke or drink alcohol, i experience sorry for you. My perfect advice is to get a woman, somewhat of land contained in the technique nowhere, dig a properly, strengthen some cattle, and start up a backyard. Oh yeah, and quite of creating use of banks to save you funds, save it in guns and ammo. the global has continuously been an unfriendly position. Now that issues were non violent for the common guy for see you later, you are able to gauruntee that the worst is about to flow down.

You can contest the ticket in court, and if the judge refuses to take you seriously, then you can report him to your local social services, for misconduct.
