I am interested in becoming a detective. How would one go about studying and training to become one. I am currently looking into Admin. of Justice classes a my community college. Besides this, what other steps do I take to becoming a detective?

I have no idea what year this was, my mother's brother and she has passed away, but I have always been told he went down with a sub. "Bottom of the ocean"...is NOT a funny answer by the way, thanks for YOUR help.
