If I am going to be 18 by the time of the real election, but still 17 during the primaries, am I still allowed to vote?

In order to vote in the primaries you need to satisfy the requirements to become an eligible voter which means you must be of the age of 18. In addition, you must be registered in the party of the primary elections that you wish to participate in.

In New Jersey in order to vote you must have 18 years old and be registered to vote. Tthe last date for register to vote for primary is May 15 and the las day for the general election is October 16.
Primary will be June 5, 2007
General will be Nov. 6, 2007

If you are 18 at the time of election you can vote-you need to register 30 day prior to the election date however-

Not in the primary, you have to be 18 by the deadline to register.It's good to see a young person who is eager to vote!
