When the Mexicans achieved their independence from Spain they did not create a republic like the United States, they created another Monarch based on the French system of elitism, then in 1914 they had a revolution, and again a non-democratic system was put in place, the tyrants that ruled Mexico until 2000 were dictators, even the government of current Mexico is held under the tight grips of elitism capitalists and world multi-nationalists corporations. Mexico has never really had a free system of government, the rich live in opulence, while the poor live in absolute poverty. Mexico needs a civil war plain and simple, if only the Mexicans would stop trying to cause a civil war here in the US, and go back home to fight.

Based on my travels to Mexico, Central, and South American Countries, I believe its more of a matter of neglect than mistreatment. In the U.S., our government at least makes some effort to help us but they still don't get it right, can you imagine how bad it would be if our government just gave up?

Too many people and not enough jobs. Mexico falls into that category.

If you think its all about benefits for the rich here go to Mexico and see how the rich are treated in relation to the poor peasants or even the middle class. Its corruption in all phases of government.

Mexico has class stratification and class hatred, rich for poor. The neo-cons want to make the US into the same kind of country.

Because the people allow the government to get away with it. It's unfortunate that the anger illegals and anchor children feel towards anti-illegal Americans, and immigration policy can't be productively used to change their own government.
