All at once or one at a time?

One at a time, we win. Easily. The Chinese and Russians would be difficult, but would lose.

Everyone else would be a cake-walk just based upon size and experience. Only the French, British, and Germans have the technology to really stand up to us, althought the Japanese would be tricky - they're just too small.

The Russians lack the funding and the C4I to coordinate most of their actions and don't have the force-projection capability that we have. They still have a powerful Navy and their Airforce is lethal and strong. They have a lot of numbers and some great Armor and massive amounts of artillery. Their troopers are relatively untrained compared to American troopers though and in the face of US ECM would be unable to coordinate anything.

The Chinese have numbers, and that's about it. They're making big strides in their technology but currently they wouldn't last long. It would take about 3 of our 12 CVBGs to exterminate their Navy and Air Force and from there on out, it's a turkey shoot for the USAF with the US Army cleaning up whatever was left.

We could probably win taking the rest of the world on all at once too, in all honesty. We'd have to take the Russians first, then the Chinese, and then just play cleanup...But we don't have enough PEOPLE to occupy those places, all we could do is defeat their military forces.

If you're talking nuclear war? We could destroy every nation on Earth several times over. The Chinese could take out about 100 US cities, the Russians could also destroy every nation on Earth several times over. The Brits and French could do a lot of damage, so could the Israelis The Indians and Pakistanis lack the ICBMs to reach us.

Of course, shortly AFTER the nukes flew, everybody's dead anyway. And where's the fun in THAT?

EDIT: People saying that we're getting our butts handed to us in Iraq have no clue. Neither do those saying we have no equipment, nor weapons, etc. Try to read something other than TIME magazine or NEWSWEEK. I've attached some links so that you folks can end your deliberate ignorance and become educated about Iraq and the war there.

Neither! Both lose because there would be unnecessary deaths on both sides all because of one man's ignorance! People make decisions on other peopls lives , what power! Make and Take the decisions in your life. Do not be influenced by anything, only you know what is happening in your mind. By the way the US are still fighting a war they didn't create, no one's winning because people on both sides are dying needlessly.

Seems like you just got smart@ssed answers to your valid question. The answer is simple. The US has long feared a war with communist China and they outnumber us vastly. They don't fight the way America fights with a conscience because in war matters they have no conscience. Killing innocents would be nothing to them.

well without the british SAS and SBS to do all your real dirty work i think you'd maybe find it a bit harder than you think. the americans love to have the brits on side as they know their special forces are the best in the world. better than the american equivalents.
you also do realise that pride comes before a fall. stop blowing your own trumpet my american cousin

Given that we're getting our a$$e$ handed to us in Iraq & Afghanistan, and that we admittedly can't do anything against either N. Korea or Iran, I think the answer is pretty clear.

The droolers that say that we have enough bombs to do this or that ignore the obvious lessons of Vietnam (bombing of N. Vetnam, Cambodia & Laos) & "Shock and Awe" in Iraq. Dropping a bunch of bombs doesn't accomplish shiite.

Might it not be a better use of your time and brainpower to contemplate how we can get closer to peace, rather than bizarre end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it B-movie fantasies that aren't plausible anyway?
