A friend rented a car while visiting in AZ (we are both from different states). I was driving it, and apparently was speeding. She got a photo speeding ticket. She can say she was not the driver, but I wasn't listed as a driver on the rental car. Will this be shared with my home state and get on my record? What can I do to get it dismissed. I live out of state and can't appear in court.

Not that it really matters, because it would be completely unenforcable. But I'm curious, so here it is:
We have mail in elections in my state, you ballot is mailed to you. I'm kind of fed up with politics, and I'm not really thrilled with the 2 party system any more. What if I let my bf, who can't vote because he's only a legal resident, not a citizen, vote for me, and I just sign my ballot? Is this technically legal?

Why? give good answers, not "its reverse discrimination" or any of that non sense, it's been proven that people going to college through affirmative action go through it at the same rate as someone not on affirmative action. The people going through it are as qualified as any other person not on it.

Can we please just support our President? I don't necessarily agree with the things our President does, but until he's out of office, he is our leader. We can support him, or bring him down.

We've got the greatest military might in the world. We won't lose wars based on strength--we lose only because of politics at home, and guess what--it's people that influence politics.
Let's support our President, because I guarantee no terrorists are.

My children left home, and they settled on their own. I have three.
The two oldest are featherheads. They got houses for themselves, and these houses, very bad, the slightest breath was enough to destroy them, and they were not even insured. So, they moved in with the third one, and his house is very nice, stone structure.
But now they have trouble with Mr B. B. Wolf, a tax collector. They did not open the door to him, so he tried to enter through the
chimney, and was badly hurt.
Now they are asking me to step in and pay Mr B.B. Wolf's hospital fees.
Should I help them?

Can't we all just be normal, literate Americans here? Why do you hate Bush so much? Don't you think that you should at least show some respect to the person that represents YOU to the rest of the world?

Dear Vice President Gore:

Americans from every corner of our nation are calling on you. Please listen to our plea and run for the Democratic nomination for the presidency of the United States in 2008.

Never before has America needed a leader of your stature, vision and experience more than now. The next presidential election will be the most crucial one in our history, and you are the only Democrat who can unite the country and lead us to victory. And this country - indeed, the entire world - cannot afford anything less.

Our nation and the planet itself are entering “a period of consequences,” as you so well stated in “An Inconvenient Truth,” but in more ways than one. We are ruled by a government of the powerful and for the powerful - a government that tramples our Constitution, wages unjust war in our name, sacrifices our economic future, and puts our very planet on the endangered species list.

America and the world need you now more than ever. Be our candidate. Run for president. And we pledge that we'll be there for you every day until the last vote is counted.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned,
