In 2002, he became the first prominent political figure to speak out against the war in Iraq. His predictions came to pass with painful precision. In the months and years that followed, Gore continued to brave the political winds by speaking out forcefully and compellingly on this and other issues of moral imperative: the assault on the Constitution, the abuses of executive power, the dire consequences of the Administration’s economic and environmental policies. He called for Rumsfeld’s resignation in the wake of the Abu Ghraib scandal and for the repeal of most of the Patriot Act.
I think he is a man Americans could get behind.

I think almost ANYONE could beat Hillary Clinton, and that is why ALL of the Republicans are drooling at the thought of her winning the nomination. I'm very very liberal, and was against the war from the start, and maybe that's part of why I feel this way, but I also think she did a lousy job on health care when Bill Clinton was president. I think she's pretty much owned by big business.

Why all the focus on Al Gore today? He couldn't win before as the VP running on the heels of a fairly succesful two term president he can not win now. He couldn't win in the race to see who is elected dog catcher.

i think Hitler called the invasion of Poland a 'pre-emtive attack' also. Iraq war is an abrogation of treaties. it is an illegal war to begin with. 9-11 did not happen as 'they' say . it is the reichstag fire of our generation. bush is behind it all .
