U.S. Military Deaths in Iraq at 3,133

As of Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at least 3,133 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes seven military civilians. At least 2,513 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers.

The AP count is seven higher than the Defense Department's tally, last updated Thursday at 10 a.m. EST.

Firstly, we have a president and country who has dismantled all structures of power in areas of military, law enforcement, and the economy, who are now saying that the 'Iraqi's arent stepping up to the plate' to maintain their own security - open your idiot eyes! Everyone who steps up is getting blown up.

Secondly it is clear that the Bush administration and his supporters in the future will allege, post withdrawal/'change of direction' that we would have won if we were given a chance. Bear in mind these fools also have a tendency to believe that the Vietnam War was a great idea, and that we either won or could have won if we 'stayed the course"!!!!!!!!!!. Good luck. This is insanity.

Another question. Where is the UN? Do they still exist? Do they have any intention whatsoever of stepping in?

What this thing needs, and what it needed from the start was a force that could not be seen as a US invasion. Obvious mistake.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Former North Carolina House Speaker Jim Black pleaded guilty Thursday to accepting nearly $30,000 from three chiropractors while pushing for legislation they supported.

One day after resigning from the House, a somber Black appeared in a federal courtroom to plead guilty to a single count of accepting things of value in connection with the business of state government. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

I have been conflicted over enlistment, not about the war for personal reasons. religon, friends, my normal life. I look forward to being a soldier. the career i want is in the service, I want to be a weapons seargeant "18 bravo, weapons" whatever u want to call it that is my dream job. WASHINGTON (AP) — Jan Ruff O'Herne refused to submit to the Japanese soldiers who raped her more than 60 years ago.

She shaved her head to make herself unattractive. She hid — once in a tree. She huddled and prayed with other captive "comfort women" — a euphemism for the up to 200,000 women who historians say were forced to have sex with millions of Japanese soldiers during the war. She punched and kicked and screamed, even though it invariably meant she received a worse beating.

"Never did any Japanese rape me without a fight. I fought each one of them," she said Thursday at a hearing of a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee. Three former comfort women pleaded with lawmakers to adopt a resolution urging Japan to formally apologize.

The memories of being raped and beaten day and night, even by the doctor who examined her for venereal disease, "have tortured my mind all my life," O'Herne said. "I have forgiven the Japanese for what they did to me, but I can never forget," said the former Dutch colonist born in Java who now lives in Australia.

mean why would or what makes you want to go through bootcamp or to be critcized by your supeor officers ,and how do you stand the mental abuse of taking orders? I support the troops no matter what ,but these questions I've always wondered about ,and another question is how do you keep from knocking the soup out of or screaming back at the drill segent ,and how do you stand the years that you signed on for with from going crazy or running away from the militay? They asked if I wanted to buy more pictures of my child (after I've already paid twice for pictures). This is the third time they have been to the school to take pictures. I did not fill out anything and my daughter knew that she wasn't to have her picture taken and even told the people that her mom did not want her to take pictures. They told her that everyone was taking pictures and they took her picture. Three weeks later they send home a packet of pictures and told us to send a check if we wanted to keep them or send them back to be thrown away if we didn't. Is it illegal for me to keep the pictures without paying? I again did not fill anything out saying I wanted them, this is something they do regularly I'm told, on the hopes everyone just sends them money for them. I want to lodge a complaint. I don't like being manipulated through my kids! Especially at school! How do I go about this? Thanks

Feminity stripped out. You can walk for miles and not see any female beauty.

Does the left find this unnatural separation of sexes egalitarian? After all, leftists share the commonality of insecurity, as do Islamists. These are weakm insecure people trying to stop natures "unfair" course, where people admire beauty and insecure people are made to feel more insecure.
