Imperialist. Because isolationist is bad for the economy.

Really, I'd want a happy medium, but if those were my only choices, I'd vote for the isolationist.
The US saw it greatest period of growth and success up through and shortly after WWII... it was after which we started really heavily getting away from our isolationist past...
