U.S. Military Deaths in Iraq at 3,133

As of Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at least 3,133 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes seven military civilians. At least 2,513 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers.

The AP count is seven higher than the Defense Department's tally, last updated Thursday at 10 a.m. EST.

that doesnt count those who died later after leaving Iraq due to wounds, or the cost in human trauma or ptsd, or the toll on families. To me if you go to war, get a declaration then go all out leave the loser in the stone age and pull out, you can not be the middle man in a civil war, besides it wasnt iraq that attacked us, but Saudi's and gee they just happen to be our friends and they wanted Iraq's oil and Saddem out, so we did their killing for them,, when we should of been kicking their butts

bush started this war illegally .'pre emptive attack' is an abrogation of treaties of Nuremberg . i guess George learned well from his Nazi supporting grampa . 9-11 is the reichstag fire of our generation. google 'loose change' . 9-11 did not happen as 'they' say.demand war profiteering be made illegal.what is congress waiting for ?unless they are in on it too. Ds and Rs are both corrupt. vote other.

well cleary u dont support the troops and thats not many deaths considering weve been at war for 5 years, jsut becuase u hate the soldiers protecting our lives and dying for this country doesnt mean u should go around and be a liberal about everyhting... this war is a great war and we r protecting this country.. the only reason u believe this war is bad is becuase u watch too much fox news and cnn... It is way to much since almost all of them happened after the "mission accomplished", "end to major combat operations in Iraq" were proclaimed by Bush.
