Not that it really matters, because it would be completely unenforcable. But I'm curious, so here it is:
We have mail in elections in my state, you ballot is mailed to you. I'm kind of fed up with politics, and I'm not really thrilled with the 2 party system any more. What if I let my bf, who can't vote because he's only a legal resident, not a citizen, vote for me, and I just sign my ballot? Is this technically legal?

Hawaii: I don't see how they can enforce it, since it's done behind closed doors in your own home...

The obviouse loop hole is that I can simply ask him what he thinks I should vote for each issue/cantidate and then fill in the circle myself. Mail in doesn't make much of a difference, since you can do the same thing, ask someone what they want and go in the booth and do it yourself.

If he isn't a citizen then he should not be allowed to vote. With that said they can never ask you how you voted so plead that!

It is illegal, and yes they can enforce it, it is called voter tampering. He should become a citizen if he wants to vote, and if you don't want to then just get rid of the ballot but tearing it up and throwing it away don't throw it away complete, voting is what makes this nation great and you say you don't like the two parties, last time I checked there were many more, I vote Independent, and there are plenty of other parties, if you don't like those two, then get involved and promote another party.
Oregon has mail in ballots and I think they are the best thing in the world. I don't want to skip school or drive my butt to a voting place which might I add is about 50 miles away from where I live, when I can do it from the comfort of my home, there you don't have pressure to finish in a set amount of time, you don't have to deal with lines, you can do it all from the peacefulness of your home.

Absolutely not. Even if you hate politics, the politicians etc, you have the civic right to vote and should pursue it, think of so many people who do not have the right to vote and in what terrible conditions the live under. Do your civic duty, vote for the lesser evil, your vote might be the deciding one.

Ok let me clarify that voting is right of a citizen and that right can not be delegated or transfer by an individual to his fellow.

In short voting is exclusive right of a person that cannot be transfered. Its limited whether to exercise your right to vote or not.

Illegal, read the fine print where you sign your ballot.

Does my heart good to see uninformed apathetic voters trashing their constitutional rights. Great argument against mail in ballots though.

Not legal, you both can be prosecuted so don't do it.
I feel the same about the political parties. I would like to see all political parties abolished.
