"In the 4 years since the inspectors, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001….It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capability to wage biological and chemical warfare and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East which, as we know all too well, affects American security.

I am super excited, when I heard he was running I was like "yes! it's about time he said he would!". I think he would make a good president; even tho I want him (for president), I don't know if he has a chance to win (not to be negative)

With so many different kind of people in America is it racist to single out a race for a whole month? Does a month like this make people look at who populates the prisons and who is on welfare the most?

Don't get me wrong. I'm middle-of-the-road that leans conservative politically and socially. I actually voted for the guy in his last 2 general elections. I'm generally in support of the office of the President. But......does this guy actually THINK? Who's with me on this one? It's like he sees what's not working and then insists on doing more of the same. He fires the people who don't tell him what he wants to hear. He finds people who tell him what he wants to hear and then puts them on his staff and list of advisors.

It seems to me that all the republican candidates this year are economic conservatives and social moderates. I'm not real knowledgeable on Obama, but it seems that he has some moral basis in his platform. Please provide evidence if you can.

Why are there six or seven stories on cnn related to the Anna Smith trial and only one story about the Lewis "scooter" Libby trial? Do you think it is because it deals directly with how the media is in bed with our top government reps? Or maybe it has to do with the actual content of the trial, that being "known" bogus intel? America don't waste your vote in 08 on republicans or democrats they are two sides of the same coin.

What have the scientists developed?
A system that analyses brain activity to work out a person's intentions and complex thoughts even before the person is conscious of them.

The brain scan that can read people's intentions
Friday February 9, 2007
http://www.guardian.co.uk/frontpage/story/0,,2009229,00.html

A team of world-leading neuroscientists has developed a powerful technique that allows them to look deep inside a person's brain and read their intentions before they act.

Prof. John-Dylan Haynes-
"We see the danger that this might become compulsory one day, but we have to be aware that if we prohibit it, we are also denying people who aren't going to commit any crime the possibility of proving their innocence."

What ramifications might this have?
Will this make the world a better place?...or worse?
Will people need this scan to get a job? A loan? Insurance? Who wil have control of its use?

It is very arrogant to say that the temperature is being controlled by man. Has anyone heard of the ice age? Now we are warming us. It's happened before.

NO ONE likes pollution and we SHOULD control that. But stop trying to scare everyone. Let's be sensible.

These are the SAME people who had us hiding in bunkers because of Y2K. It's 7 years later and they need a new doomsday message to feed on I guess.

Political/partisan reasons aside (The valid reasons). Why do I see so many statements by cons about Hillary's ability to be President based on her husband's affair? I have actually read a question that said "If she can't satisfy her husband, how can she satisfy a nation?" If your spouse cheats on you do you automatically become unable to function? Am I the only person who sees the stupidity and childishness of this? One of our greatest Presidents JFK, was a known philanderer. If people don't agree with her politics that is one thing, but is berating her for a cheating husband the best the Cons can come up with? Seriously.

Knowledgeable News Audiences

News audiences vary widely in age, education, and how much they know about what's going on in the nation and the world. Most regular consumers of news are better informed, better educated, and older than the average American. But the audiences for some news sources stand out in this respect.

Judged by their answers to three news knowledge questions2, the most informed audiences belong to the political magazines, Rush Limbaugh's radio show, the O'Reilly Factor, news magazines, and online news sources.

Audiences with the highest educational achievement, by far, are the literary magazines and online news outlets. Readers of news magazines, political magazines and business magazines, listeners of Rush Limbaugh and NPR.

Some of these attentive and educated audiences also are older than average. The oldest audiences belong to the NewsHour (60% age 50 or older), the O'Reilly Factor (58%), Larry King Live (56%), network nightly news (54%), and Sunday morning talk shows (52%).
