For the arabs, peace would be a loss of income. War is very profitable. Remember Arafat died a multi billionaire.

There has never been true peace in that region, and the peace agreement (if there was one) will not be between Arab-Israeli's. The hate and strife is not there, but with other people and countries, and even the people without a country. The people of the middle east have fought, killed, destroyed and hated each other since GOD put everybody on the earth.

The fact that Israel took the first blood in the Arab-Israeli dispute has become buried in history. In the late 1940s, the entire Palestinian problem was about to be resolved when Israel attacked a town in Gaza and killed over 200 men, women, and children. Until then, the Arab union was pursuing a peaceful settlement. The fact that the U.S. was near agreeing to a solution that favored the Arabs is what prompted Israel to ignite the region.

The Palestinians refused to recognize Israel, just today's news, so its difficult to reach an agreement with a group that refuses to recognize that you are there.

as golda meir said " when they love their children more than they hate us, there will be peace in the middle east". this is in reference to arabs training kids to be suicide bombers.
