Or are the lobbyist $$$ to much to resist for these so-call Christian Republicans who are mostly gays and wimps?

If I was a Republican and has an election in 2008 I would be giving Bush the international bad finger right now

but maybe playing dumb brings in a lot of corporation $$$ and free vacations to Thailand (Dream land for most conseratives who are soooo used to just sheeps).

we actually had a wedding prior to dating for 2 years after he finished hid doctorate, and has started a company while I worked fuul time and paid 3/3 of all expenses, including insurance etc. I'm trying to determine whether he is buying time until the marriage is 2 years old, because he does not seem to want to get divorced and will not say where he's living. He has ben in the states on a green card since coming here from haiti at age 12, although his father and sister are supposedly citizen's. I starting o feel that I might have been played like a fine tune to upgrade his citizenship status. Help, I need answers quick. is he just holding out for 2 years of marriage to make it easier to get citizenship. He wants to bring his mom, and other siblings to US, but does not really talk about the details, and states that he has not pursued citizenship because he really does not want to....looking for the truth..thanks

i desperately need advice as i received a summon to court today. november last year the checked my house and found my tv with aerial. later i received a letter asking to pay for tv licence. i responded saying that i use my tv for viewing dvds only (it was true, i threw away my aerial right after their visit, but didn't watch tv before that either). i based that on saying in their website that you do not need tv license if you use your tv for these purposes. no response. today got a summon to court. and i will not be able to attend as will be out of country at that time.
my questions would be:
how serious it is?
what are my chances to prove i'm not guilty?
how much can i expect to pay (they say it's up to £1000, can it be less?)
what should i do now?...

any advice will be greatly appreciated.

How proficient should an immigrant to the US be in English before it would satisfy Americans who say "If you are going to live here, you have to speak English"? Like, if a Mexican lives and works with other Mexicans, does he have to be able to discuss the works of Geoffrey Chaucer so he can shop at the supermarket? What exactly does it mean to "speak English" in order to live here? I know plenty of Americans who say "ain't" and use double negatives and have little concept of subject-verb agreement, and no one has suggested they leave, so what exactly is the standard immigrants should be held to? And would Americans be willing to be held to the same standard--i.e., whatever test a Spanish speaker has to pass to live here, would you be willing to pass it to get your high school diploma? No flames, please. This is a question that should be addressed.

My sister and I live in the same building. Well, this morning my apartment manager went to my sister and told her that he got a call from the police stating that there may be a possible arrest for me for check fraud (which I know absolutely nothing about). So, I called my apartment manager and he confirmed only my first name and apartment number. So, I called the police station. They would not help me. They told me that the detective should have given him a name and phone number. When I asked my apartment manager for the name and phone number he would not help me. Is there anyway I can find out if I have this so-called-warrent or why the police called him instead of looking for me personally?

We seem to have lost touch with the fact that well intentioned people can disagree on significant issues. Today, when someone disagrees with our world view, we seem to honestly believe that the individual, entity or party must be totally and utterly discredited and destroyed.

United States is the sole hyperpower, there is no debating this, the US spends almost 600 billion dollars annually for military expenditures, where as Russia only spends about 60 billions, PR of China only spends about 60 billion, and any other developed nation around the world spends only about 11-25 billion annually. Will the United States, forever be the sole hyperpower in the world. Or could PR of China take over. If China does gradually take over economically, could America ever be forced to change there system of government, will Socialism, or China's style of government take over? Then if China does take over will there be another American Revolution?

He is a terrorist and a devil worshiper. On top of that he is black, which means he is not racially qualified to run things.

Blacks lack the genetic necessities to run big organisations much less an entire nation. It should come as a shock to no one that he has never been governer or mayor.

My comment about Barack being a terrorist is not as comical as you might think. He has read the vile muslim holy book and he has muslim connections and freinds. Anyone who has any muslim connections cannot be trusted with running the United States of America.

His policies will focus on making America weaker and the terrorist nations stronger. Here are some of his quotes:

"There should be no guns in any household in America" -Make America weak

"I believe in a phased withdrawl of our troops from Iraq" -Make terrorists stronger

"We politicians need to compromise a bit and accept that religion has a place in politics"- Muslim extremists will love this.

If true doesn't this provoke a moral obligation on the news media not to report the good things going on lest they become targets of homocide bombers.

Such as school children walking to school or people spending money in the open markets.

Our neighbor is suing us for violation of CCR's, not asking for money, but an injunction against us and future owners to not have a skateramp, shed, tent, or music studio. I thought what I did in my own home and backyard was my business. The skateramp is gone, but was never in violation of any city codes. We have no music business. the "tent" is a boat cover. and the shed is not covered by CCR's because archetectural committe is defunct now. City says they are not concerned with the shed being too close to fenceline. Plaintiff attorney sent a threatening letter to our last broker and current broker about the suit and will not respond to me about my past requests for meet and confers, does not inform me of court dates and in general is a sleeze. Help. I have been on worker's comp over a year, am low on money, but have been in the court system as a court reporter for over 25 years. thanx in advance/

Even if you don't believe in cover up and inside job.Wasn't it a great failiure in US security?Would America want to show the whole world how their defenses were dubed? If it's public other enemies also know. The best protected air space and a plane stays in the air for hours and is allowed to attack the pentagon? What if that plane had been a nuclear missle during the cold war?Would it have been so easy for the USSR to blow America of the map?
