United States is the sole hyperpower, there is no debating this, the US spends almost 600 billion dollars annually for military expenditures, where as Russia only spends about 60 billions, PR of China only spends about 60 billion, and any other developed nation around the world spends only about 11-25 billion annually. Will the United States, forever be the sole hyperpower in the world. Or could PR of China take over. If China does gradually take over economically, could America ever be forced to change there system of government, will Socialism, or China's style of government take over? Then if China does take over will there be another American Revolution?

We will remain the superpower as long as we maintain a vision of strength and leadership, not backing down to evil.

If the USA proves ineffective in the Middle East, the whole picture changes. Everything now depends on the outcome of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. That's why abandoning the region could pose danger to this country and to our allies. It would be a tough sell claiming we are a superpower if we fail in the Middle East.

There are liberal politicians who would love to reduce this country to a Socialist Banana Republic, economically and militarily.
As long as we stay strong and commited China or anybody else with a brain won't push the issue.
We will have problems with terrorists, they don't negociate ,except over a gun barrel.

I am a Christian. As such, I view everything from a Biblical point of view. In the Bible we see quite clearly that God at least allows (if not providentially guides) certain leaders and certain countries to rise to power and will often bring them down for their abuses. For non-believers, it might be amazing, even weird, that the U.S. rose to power and prominence sooooo quickly (in a couple hundred years). But WHEN you consider the faith of our founding fathers, their ceaseless prayers, AND their stated intention to further the kingdom of God then you get a sense that America's power was God's glory and OF COURSE God helped us. So, it is good and fitting that we sing, "God bless America," and read, "In God we trust." But ... America is NOT the same God loving, God fearing country she was even 50 years ago. There is an entire movement of secular "progression" afoot and that movement hates God, hates Christians, hates our heritage and aims to rewrite our history and completely undo everything this country once stood for.
Will America remain A superpower, let alone the LONE superpower? Well, it is up to the Christians of America, who at last count were still the majority, but at best a shrinking and worse weakling majority. If we acquiesce to the secular agenda, continuing to give in on "social" issue after "social" issue--such as abortion, gay marriage, domestic partnerships, no-fault divorce, and banning God from our schools and other public life--then we are doomed! I saw a sermon recently in which the fall of the Roman Empire was compared to the impending fall of the American empire. The parallels were startling and the fall is in fact in the works.
My first grader came home one day to inform me that "we" (people) are animals. I asked her, "Who told you that, sweetie?" She said, "My teacher." Think about that! Her teacher, who has ever reason to want her to BEHAVE and MIND tells my daughter she is an animal. Not unlike the ape she evolved from? :-) This is the secularists view. In many respects, it is nihilistic. We came from a series of accidental (but happy accidents) and we are going to become worm-food someday. We live for nothing greater than ourselves. Many are socialists and facists. They teach (our children) that everything is right (except Christianity, which is exclusive) and nothing is wrong (except morals, which are judgmental). If Christians stand for this--i.e., show "tolerance" to their insanity--then WE get what WE deserve, which is in part our fall as a nation.
The choices are clear:
1. Fight this God-hating evil and work together to help America return to its roots as a God fearing country that wants to do his will, or ...
2. Stand by and watch America fade away, as the Roman Empire faded away.

Actually, if it weren't for our allegiance with the EU countries I believe that their total sum of military expenditure is comparable to ours which would make them a pretty formidable adversary.
