Consider the POST Cold War incident when Norway launched a scientific satellite in January 25, 1995, when Russian early warning radars detected a missile rising from the Norwegian Sea. Russia is an economically powerful nation under a charismatic leader. On the other side a once powerful nation under GWBush. So any kind of war is not good for americans. Better try to extricate themselves from Iraq first. Do you think the toll will go above 10 K this year??

Putin is a complete lunatic. It's just he is better at disguising it than other leaders from the nut house, such from Iran, Venezuela, and N.Korea. I do think it is back. Russia wants power again. They will try to do whatever they can to get it back. I lived in an Easter European country, and let me tell you from EXPERIENCE, that I sure hope they don't. The Russian government ruined countless lives. Remember, Putin is an ex KGB leader. aka murderer.

The end of the cold war is a matter of opinion. Both sides still spy on each other and both still position themselve against the other. I think its turned to a secret cold war.
