What does real-world evidence tell us about the conservative principles of unconstrained laissez faire capitalism & minimal government?

To answer, let's look at the laboratory where these principles take their purest form - Texas.

Ranked per capita (adjusting for pop.) murder rate, five of the nation's most murderous cities are in Texas. If you look at overall violent crime (including rape, assault, etc.) Texas does even worse. And property crimes (e.g., theft, burglary) are worse still!

Texas has two of the nation's ten most polluted cities. It houses many of the nation's biggest polluters (#1 - BP refinery in Texas City).

Texans have the lowest level of educational attainment measured by the proportion of the population holding at least a high school diploma. It leads the nation in the number of people without access to healthcare, including the highest rate and number of uninsured children.

Is Texas a BASKET CASE due to Con ideas/control?

put so much time and effort into marches and protests here in the U.S.A., and not in Mexico where there are sooooo many resources to improve their economy? Why not change your country? Is it because everything is already set up here? I know its easier, but shouldn't some of that Latino pride I keep seeing posted here be put where it could do some good? No malice or anger here, just a question. Please, none of the racist remarks from either side of the debate. It doesn't solve or do anything positive.

I'm looking someone with knowledge of an existing position, whether filled or vacant, near San Fran, LA, or San Jose. My only restriction is that I'm not interested in any recruiting related position. Anything else will be fine - any branch / MOS.

If no one knows of an actual position, perhaps someone might give me contact information for someone who would.

BUT, if that's the case, I'm looking for a point of contact in a personnel section somewhere - *not* a branch manager (because branch managers are generally no help whatsoever).

The wife cheated on her husband and got pregnant because of it. The husband (now ex) has to pay $1,200/month (more than $200,00 over 15 years) and all those idiot judges have to say is "We recognize that the former husband in this case may feel victimized". Are these idiots for real? How do they become judges? It's not his kid and they are saying he is responsible. They use a quote that essentially says that it is his fault for trusting his wife. The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me. It's no wonder their judges. You need to be an *** to be one.

So what does everyone think? Does she REALLY have a chance? Not just because she's a woman, but because of her views and husband. What do you guys think? Would you vote for her?

A week ago, the anti-war rally in Washington made headlines across America. Lost in most of the coverage, however, was the complete lack of basic decency displayed by some of these protesters. The anti-war protesters defaced our Capitol by spray-painting graffiti on the Capitol's west terrace.
It never ceases to amaze me how nonpeaceful these so-called peace protesters can be. There is no question that Americans have a constitutional right to peaceably assemble, but when you brazenly deface cherished public property, you are no longer assembling peacefully. You are committing a crime.
