I had my passport expedited and it came back in time for my trip to the UK BUT my birthplace is incorrect!! Everything else is correct, seems like a small detail to me. I dont have time to get this fixed.... so i can chance it? OR I would have to cancel the trip. Does anyone think that I would have any problems traveling with this passport?

Your city of birth is insignificant. A passport identifying your nationality is sufficient to travel in this case, as all other biodata is accurate. Upon your return, contact the passport office and make arrangements for a corrected replacement.

Honestly, you likely won't have trouble, unless you have some sort of record with the Brits (such as you worked there once, have an immigration petition pending, et al) -- and even then probably not. The correction after your trip will be free as long as you go to get it fixed within a year (use the "Reapplication Form" found at http://travel.state/gov) -- unless you made the mistake.

As crazy as it sounds, in passport processing, nearly EVERY day I see people who misspell their names, write the wrong date/place of birth, you name it. That said, the passport agency's PRIMARY source of correct info on you should be your previous passport, if you had one, not your application (for the reasons I mentioned above).

Happy travels!

Contact the passport office and ask them. They will give you the most correct answer. Not sure I would risk leaving the country and not being able to get back in without checking with them. I suspect that it will be just fine.

Try to get a mail or email from the passport authorithez about their misstake. If the misstaken city is still within the same country or better area I dont think its a huge risk (as long as you look honestly and dont hide it if you get a question about it.). Try to get change note! Johan
