I know there are about 10 to 12 million Lebanese all over the world and are among the most successful people. The question is, why the Lebanese of Lebanon are so behind their next door neighbor? and why aren't they doing something about it. Also I could not understand why the Lebanese abroad are not helping them?

we all know that out of that 140 billion, 139 billion dollars come from the US tax payers.
Israelis are not smarter than the lebanese, they just have the US helping them out.
Take out the US aide military and economically, Israel would be nothign but a third world country just like the Lebanese people.

The Lebanese are crippled by Hamas and radical factions within their government hamas is the favorite son of the Iranians there for they are calling the shots and running the show. The teachers in Israel are no smarter than the teachers in Lebanon but the Israelis are not slaves to radical doctrine enforced by covert terrorists among the general population. They must teach the "Approved" views and versions of history with an (unhealthy) dose of doctrine thrown in just to cement support and distort the political situation in favor of the government and radicals.

it could be the israelis have invaded lebanon twice,that would make israel more violent,not smarter. for all their might and money,they couldn't beat hezbollah or get back their two soldiers. israel recieves more welfare from the US and also has a powerful lobby in washington.

Lebanon is run by terrorists - that war wasn't about Lebanon - it was about Hamas and their crossing into Israel and killing Israeli's - don't lose touch with what the reality is. Also Lebanon is more of a third world country - Israel is not.
