They constantly try and project this image as being for the little man but there actions says otherwise their spokesmen rant about global warming and pollution but fly all over the world on their private jets. They talk about raising the minimun wage but the speaker excempt American Samoa because the companies that are base there are from her district.

They complain that the IRS, FEMA, SS are inefficient and wasteful government agency are but are eager to take over a quarter of the US economy with a national health care buracreacy.
why will this program be more effecient? The speaker now wants the pentagon to supply her with a fancy jet with a crew of 16 so she can fly non-stop to SF. Why is this party basic premise do as say not what I do.

Ive been a police officer for about a year now and Im growing tired of the hours and having to deal with the worst of the worst. Im wanting to start a family soon and would like a "normal" job in that I would get to see my family for more than just a hour or so a day. I have a BS in criminal justice. Do you have any suggestions as to any areas that would be good for me to investigate. Im looking for the private sector instead of gov't work...thanks

We live .8 miles from the school and they dont provide bus service for my 5 and 7 year old. If you live within 1 mile they just dont give bus service for non handicapped people. Is this legal? I have to wake up my 8 month old daughter and 5 year old to take the 7 year old every day. And then my 5 year old goes at noon. The school expects them to walk when there is only 1 crossing guard and it was -1 yesterday. Thanks Jason

My daughter was enrolled in a dance school. I have since removed her and stated I wanted Januarys tuition back as well as her performance fee. THey said it was in the handbook that these fees were non refundable. I never signed a contract agreeing to these terms the only this I signed was that I received a copy of the book. As many of you know, I'm just as guilty as anyone else of trying to convince others to see my point-of-view. That being said, though, I was wondering if it was really anyone's business what others' political opinions are. Do we really have the moral right to preach to others?

A month ago the court orded my ex to do 3 things by the next time we had a court hearing (which is next week)
1.) Get the mortgage payments caught up on the house that we had shared when we were married and get my name taken off of the mortgage (which was actually supposed to be done a year ago).
2.) Get his child support caught up (he's 3 months behind).
3.) Get current on a credit card bill that he agreed to pay in the divorce (he had not paid a penny since May of '06)

Here is what he's actually done since the court demanded he do these things.

1.) Lost the house in a sherrif's sale (with my name still on the mortgage)
2.) Has become even more behind in his child support payments.
3.) Told the credit card company he refuses to pay on the card.

I have a feeling that he's not going to show up for court? If they put a warrant out for his arrest but he lives an hour away from the court what can be done? Any ideas or suggestions?

Don't agree with Bush = Terrorist.
Argue against Iraqi invasion = Islamofascist.
Call into question Iraqi murders = Traitor.

Is this what a very ordinary public school education system can produce? What about articulated discussions and arguments?

you have a cold or kissing someone on the mouth when you have flu? There's a case in Canada where a guy was convicted of aggravated sexual assault for doing that. Doesn't it follow logically that knowingly passing on any kind of virus should be considered some form of assault?

Now we learn that the U.S. is responsible for the deaths of far more thousands of Iraqi innocents than originally believed. And that unreported deadly air strikes have been going on for years. And our boys..the pilots who have supposedly targeted 'insurgents' - 'militias' etc. but who in many instances are simply killing at will. We can't blame them of course.A hgher power will take care of the overall perpetuators. But I become more fearful as each day passes, as more GI;'s die, as more innocents die. I understood "shock and awe" even as I did not believe in it, The U.S. had to flex her mighty muscles, she had to instill fear, not just to insurgents in the region, but to others, their whereabouts not yet fully determined..
But we have gone too far. I am more fearful of what may happen here in the U.S.A. as a result of this administration's actions, than I am of other countries, with already developed nuclear weapons; I am fearful of what or who may already be here....

This is the idea that our country has a special obligation to spread our values of freedom around the world, and we must confront other countries who prevent that, either militarily or politically.

I guess the alternative would be that our country has no obligation to do anything except have a foreign policy that is acceptable to most Americans, i.e. democracy.
