It's not the White House style to go after the other side on this kind of thing. Maybe it should be.
There are enough other elected Republicans who SHOULD speak up, and let the White House stay above it.

I am not familiar with the comment you mention Tony Snow made, but we all know Tony Snow definately leans to the right on almost every ideological issue. The fact that he does not 100% go against democrats is a good thing because it means he is real and thinks for himself.
Also, one single plane is not going to be that big of a deal when it comes to global warming. I promise. :-)

He's not leaning to the left. This is a non-issue. The previous House Leader flew around on a jet too. he is a rational human being who is not so blinded by his hate that he jumps on the other party every time he can. I applaud him for not being a jerk and making an issue out of something that is not an issue. Our Congress on both sides should follow his lead. I thought you guys didn't beleive in global warming.

This really doesn't rise to the level of something the President should be concerned with, so I think it is proper for the Press Secretary to downplay it appropriately. Sure it is another example of liberal hypocrisy, but frankly you can find those all day long without trying hard and related to much more dire issues than this.

MAYBE he is not giving the left a smokescreen in which to deflect the real issue of "NANCY demanding a huge plane for her entourage" to one that the liberals would make "Bush refuses plane for Pelosi" if they came out publicly against it...
Food for thought...

I don't know that he is leaning left, she is second in line to be President so some perks should be allowed. What amazes me is her lack of enviormental and global concerns.Or are they only relevant when concerning others and not herself...

All those "green house" gases that the plane would create
So much for caring about the environment
I am disappointed. They are just trying to be nice to the Democrats. Which I don't see why even bother

Ourt President doesn't wanna turn this into a Battle of Words. `Cause it'll show her how stupid she really is. He's advised Tony to keep it civil. And he's obeying his Boss, with dignity. Unlike the Liberal name-calling Yahoo's.
