The Presidential election is over 2 years away still and everyone seems to be lining up to run. Who is your favorite candidate and what are their strengths and weaknesses? For example here is how I see Rudy and Hillary

Hillary Clinton
Strengths – Name recognition due to her husband. Liberal. One of a handful of women to be President of the USA
Weaknesses – She is very controversial, has no experience running a state or local government. Has not successfully sponsored or co-sponsored any legislation in the senate. Tends to flip flop on issues depending on which way the wind is blowing in the polls. Wants to raise taxes. Several people that used to work with her said that she has an extremely bad temper.

Rudy Giuliani
Strengths – Ran the City of New York, proven leader in time of national crisis for his role in the 9/11 disaster. Not a traditional Republican because he supports abortion and gay rights so he attracts more of a moderate base. Is for lower taxes

this morning my estranged partner of 11years decided he has no where to go but jail. the details are as follows: because i am fed up with his drinking i left a week ago, i had to leave because he wouldn't and we are both on the lease aggreement. two days later he gets his third DUI in 5 years last week at 6:00am on his way to work. the court OR's him. my truck get impounded, i am going to lose it to the towing company. without my knowlege, he wrote several checks to payday loans which now are due. my name is not on the account. he is broke and now he wants me to buy him booze so he can violate the terms of his release and go to jail. with him in jail i could get my home back and my daughter and i could move home.
should i buy him the alcohol. i don't feel right about it. he will go to jail because all other avenues have been exhausted. treatment, therapy, no friends or family . i was the last hold out.

Which do you believe to be more dangerous to our society in the USA ?
If you partially attribute the danger to BOTH, go ahead and list 'how much' each of them is responsible ?

Oh, and I WILL be expecting answers to the 'posted question' . As long as we have that, you can include your additional personal views .

I need to add my dad's last name to my name. I'm a naturalized citizen (living in Illinois) and wasn't aware that I could change my name at the time I recieved my citizenship. Ideally, i would want my current last name as my middle name and my dad's last name as my new last name. Do I still have go to my county court and petition for a name change eventhough I am just adding a last and not really change my name completely? What is the procedure?

Let's say that one day the president opened a broadcast to the entire world, with the message that earth has been contacted by a race of intelligent life from outer space and they offer us benefits such as these:
1.) cheap, clean abundant energy
2.) an answer to disease, poverty, and hunger
3.) access to medicine, science, technology, transportation, etc. thousands of years beyond our current levels
4.) the protection of a far-reaching military that is unaffected by the politics of earth
5.) an education that has the benefit of millions of combined years of experience from intelligent civilizations across the galaxy

sounds good so far. but here is the catch: in order to receive these benefits we must accept the following conditions:

When folks discuss it, they talk about the deaths of soldiers and their intrusion into our private lives. "The Price of Freedom" as they put it, it the price we all have to pay for our liberty..........and in this case, it means giving up our liberty. It is nuts!!

The real "Price of Freedom" is the price we have to pay for living in a truly free society in terms of the risks that means we have to be willing to endure. The "Price of Freedom" means that we have to accept the risks that are out there in our society and that even if government intrusion might lessen those risks, we reject it because GOVERNMENT INTRUSION LIMITS OUR FREEDOM. "The Price of Freedom" is the risk that we all assume walking into the shopping mall, knowing that someone could walk in with a bomb and kill us.....Sure there are steps that the government could take to lessen the risk, but EACH STEP THE GOVERNMENT TAKES INTO INTO OUR LIVES LIMITS OUR FREEDOM.
Let's take freedom back!
(Ok, I admit, not a question)
