this morning my estranged partner of 11years decided he has no where to go but jail. the details are as follows: because i am fed up with his drinking i left a week ago, i had to leave because he wouldn't and we are both on the lease aggreement. two days later he gets his third DUI in 5 years last week at 6:00am on his way to work. the court OR's him. my truck get impounded, i am going to lose it to the towing company. without my knowlege, he wrote several checks to payday loans which now are due. my name is not on the account. he is broke and now he wants me to buy him booze so he can violate the terms of his release and go to jail. with him in jail i could get my home back and my daughter and i could move home.
should i buy him the alcohol. i don't feel right about it. he will go to jail because all other avenues have been exhausted. treatment, therapy, no friends or family . i was the last hold out.

Do not buy this idiot any thing. Close any accounts you have in common and run as far away from him as you can. If you stay you are only playing the role of enabler and damaging your daughter.

Yes buy him the booze, as he will be given the opportunity to get help in jail. it is a tough way to go, but it may be the only way. If your name is not on the checking account, than you are not responsible, so leave it for him to straighten out. If you can get your daughter and your truck back, this way, then do that too. Just make sure that he is right in front of the police station, when he starts drinking, so that he can't change his mind.

Stop with this guy already. I thought you said you left? why would you start all over again. Do whats best for your daughter and let the clown rot in jail, maybe if he sees the light he'll stop. He wont if you keep enabling him to be an alcoholic. Good luck.

Where there's a will there's a way. If he wants it bad enough, he will find a way to get it himself. Sounds like you may want to consider seeing legal action against him. And if you had left him, why was he driving your truck? But seriously, if I were you, I'd consult an attorney to see what my rights were and what kind of legal action I could pursue against him.

If you would feel guilty about it, don't do it. The universe tends to unfold as it should.
