Why would anybody subject himself and his family to the vile, nasty vitriol and hatred that the Dems have spewed upon Dubya and his family?

Sorry, but you're wrong. His involvement with the Schiavo affair two years ago has doomed him to a non-future in national politics. Nobody wants a radical religious nutcase insinuating themselves into their personal affairs, and that's what Jeb tried to do in the Schiavo case. I think that was pretty well proven by the public's reaction to his and Congress' actions. There was suddenly a tremendous surge in the number of people establishing living wills to prevent such nutcases from doing that to their loved ones. Besides, given that he is the brother of the current village idiot sitting in the Oval Office, why would anyone want to take a chance on another Bush Administration? We would probably wind up attacking nearly every country in the world before all was said and done. NIx to another Bush Administration. The country has had quite enough of fanatical moralizing Christian rightists, especially those with close ties to corporate America.

Brother W. has made it not even possible for him to cheat and win. I think the American people spoke last November that we wanted change in Washington and Brother Jeb would be just more of the same. I don't think he would anymore viable a candidate then Jessi Jackson on the left.

Please, this country has had enough of the Bush family. The voters are smarter than that. Besides, if Jeb runs for the President, would his brother be in charge of counting the votes in Florida???? He does owe Jeb a giant favor.

Probqably another example of common sense rearing its ugly head. About 70% of Americans know 6 years of Bush has damaged our contry so much, that there should be no more. Probably even Jeb knows this, deep down inside.

People are not happy with George W right now if he was to run he would never win. He knows that in fact his mother advised him not to run. However many people think he might be a good candidate for a vice president( I am not one of them though). I am republican though but I still wouldn't vote for him.

Given his brother's current massive unpopularity, he probably figures '08 isn't the best year to run. If a Republican wins next year, it'll be one with very little connection to the Administration.

Usually a higher achieving brother will help out on the lesser in the family.

In this 2008 case, this is just too much a mess. Put you in his place, would you want your daily life going like what this one is for a whole four years?

Nobody would vote for him. There are other republicans that have a better chance.

If we want more terrorism than normal, we will vote another Bush into office. I am a republican....but terrorists have something against the Bush's in general. Lol. They probably want to destroy baked beans just for the name!

Sam Brownback is a good candidate for the GOP.

You replied to my question in a rather unpleasant manner and you have been reported. I don't want you posting your racist vitriol towards me.

My husband is not even in your stupid country, if you bothered to read the question properly. He is a legal immigrant in the UK with permanent residence, and he has every right to remain here.

If you don't like it, that is your problem for being racist scum!

Take care : )

The Twenty-second Amendment (which took effect in 1951) provides that no one may be elected to the office more than twice, and that no one may be elected President more than once who has held the office of (or acted as) President for more than two years of another's term (thus a person may hold the office of President no longer than ten years—two four-year terms and one term less than two years having been a vice president who succeeded to the Presidency).

...and he's currently on his 2nd term.
