Or maybe even excuse the terrorists actions, because some on the Far Left 'feel' sorry for them .

Liberals will want to Prevent attacks, and arrest terrorists after attacks. The money that is being spent for Bush's precious war could go on helping soldiers get better equiped and the money can be better spent on preventing attacks then fighting for something that did not happen.

Sure prevent terrorism, but no country can be 100% on that one.

We have domestic terroristic attacks nearly every day in this country, most are initiated from the far right, and some from the far left.

Church burning is terrorism.
Abortion doctor or clinic violence is terrorism.
Desecration of Jewish cemeteries and synagogues is terrorism.
Spiking trees in order to hurt loggers is terrorism.
The DC snipers were terrorists.

This list is the short version, but we as a people need to look in the mirror, terrorism isn't just Islamic.

Have you heard that by mentioning the constitution in public could put you on a list for being a terrorist. All these things that we are being told to protect us. Doesn't it seem odd to anyone that we financed Bin laden? It wouldn't be the first time in history that govt. would use fear to get what they want.

What a stupid question.

It would be lovely to prevent terrorist attacks. By all means, do it. I am not, however, willing to turn over my basic rights as an American to do so.

Sure, we want to prevent terrorist attacks, and it makes sense to arrest someone who's already attacked us (bin Laden), so that we can both punish him and prevent further attacks.

Uh, both. Explain to me how attacking a sovereign country who had no connection to 9-11 is helping us to fight terrorists. We would be better off using the money to protect America by protecting our borders and harbors and increasing intel rather than sending troops all over the globe.

Prevent of course. That means enacting foreign policies that make sense. As in, not arming extremist governments with American weapons as the Republicans have a history of doing, since it keeps coming back to bite us in the butt.

Liberals don't act, they react. We can see this from the Clinton Administration when we got attacked 4 times and nothing was really done. I can understand once. But 4 times? That's rediculous.
