Yesterday evening my 7 yr old son was attacked by a pit-bull dog in our apartment complex. My son was outside in a common area when someone opened their door and the dog ran out, spotted my son and attacked him from behind. He was bitten twice on his back, once on his rear, and twice on his upper leg- they stitched some of the spots. I'm thankful that it wasn't real bad, but I have everyone telling me to sue the complex. (The owner is a single mom who has no money.) I KNOW I NEED TO CONSULT A LAWYER, but I was just wondering what you all thought. Has anyone out there been in the same position? By the way, I live in Tx.

To help prevent illegal immigration here is what I think they should do:

Dig an 8 foot trench along the whole border. Cement it good and thick. Put up a 10 foor chain link fence that is covered in razor wire up and down both sides. Once it is all finished....fill the trench with water. If they try to dig a tunnel (if they can get through the cement, they'll drown) and the razor wire fence would slice them to pieces. And then just station guard towers in certain locations.

Just my idea. Not that it'll ever happen but I just wanted to get it out. I feel better. Thanks Yahoo answers.....for letting me vent my idea!!!

PRESIDENT BUSH:"...my Chief of Staff...walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower, America is under attack." And, Jordan, I wasn't sure what to think at first. You know, I grew up in a period of time where the idea of America being under attack never entered my mind..."

Our system of government is predicated on the sharing of powers and responsibilities between different layers of government, ie. federal, state, and local.

Considering the federal government's less-than-stellar track record when it comes to efficiency and efficacy, why does the Left clamor for more and more federal control? Isn't it logical that people in your state capital understand more about your problems than do bureaucrats in Washington?

Case in point would be Hurricane Katrina debacle. Many liberals whined, kicked, and screamed about the President not doing enough, but disaster relief shouldn't be a federal mandate in the first place. The same could be said of education, agriculture, social security, public works, etc... Why do liberals want to consolidate even more power in an unresponsive and inefficient federal government at the expense of state and local governments?

So many of their stances are blatantly anti human. They claim to be the ones who love and accept all humanity yet they are fervent abortion supporters, and rabid so called environmentalists. They value trees more than people. It is becoming more and more apparent to me that the so-called party of the people is actually a demonic group intent on destroying the people. What are your thoughts on this?

I happened to see an immigration program wherein a small squad of highly trained military style, gun toting, highly armed and militarily equiped, SWAT style commandos from the USA were down in the sewer system, cleaning out illegal immigrants types and drug people from coming across to the US.
I was highly pleased to see this ...and it made me think we REALLY ARE at war to stop illegal invasion from Mexico. WHADAYA think?

I know that if you're in the military as well as your siblings and any of them got KIA, they'll grant you exemption from combat. Just wondering if they'll do the same for any soldier/sailor/marine/airman who's an only child, only son, or only daughter.

Is it right that two peadophiles have been allowed to go free following their court hearing while a journalist is given a custodial sentence when there is so much controversy about the current state of the prisons in this country?

My boyfriend is involved in a custody battle with his ex wife. He has primary custody now but she wants to take it from him. I'm going with him to the first hearing for moral and emotional support and if need be I've writen a letter to read to the judge about his character and his kids. The case against him is weak and because of money he's "defending" himself the first time around and will get a lawyer if need be. What can we expect at the first hearing? Will it be decided then or will it continue for awhile?
